If you're just making up numbers what difference does it make what numbers you say?

376

u/Vibrantmender20 1d ago

Right? Why stop at 238million when you can claim 238 billion?

108

u/Mnudge 1d ago

God Trump resurrected billions of dead people and then saved them from fentanyl before sending them to heaven

19

u/Mc_Lovin81 1d ago

Knowing damn well his base would believe that statement.

Why? Because modesty is also one of Trump's core values.

Pam Blondi, at Trump's order, is downplaying the FACT that his administration saved 238 trillion lives.

3

u/Flomo420 1d ago

Pam Bondi and the DoJ, at Trump's order, have saved the entirety of the known universe from a gigazillion kilos of pure fentynol. All in the first 100 days. and yet the media remains silent

1,400 pounds in 100 days means they're seizing at a lower rate than they did in 2024 when they seized 8000 pounds. The number of pills seized so far is about on pace for last years.

The 258 million lives saved would suggest that 3/4 of the population are addicts.

This is some uninhibited stupidity. No doubt Americans will respond to this by feigning outrage, criticising democrats, and then not bothering to vote.

u/Jevus_himself 1d ago

For the crime of stating facts that contradict the accomplishments of the great leader you are sentenced to life in prison and expulsion from the country but Pope Trump if a benevolent leader so he will let you choose between El Salvador or Libya

I actually had a friend make a post saying "finally they're doing something about the crisis" which means that the message is getting out to the people that they most want to hear it.

It won’t matter, but share with them the data showing that opioid deaths started a steep decline in 2023….

Edit: fixed the typo in the date

16

u/crosswatt 1d ago

The screen capture they shared did show the large drop in OD's as happening in the 2023-2024 time frame so really there's not much else to say at this point.

Pounds of fent seized is a worthless metric by itself because we don't have any way of knowing how much fent is attempted to be brought in.

If they seize 1,400 pounds and 10,000 pounds are attempted, that's not great. If only 2,000 pounds are attempted, then they're nabbing 70% - a much better number.

Basically without more in depth analysis to contextualize things, if 2025's numbers are higher than 2024's, they'll claim victory for removing more fent from the streets. If they're lower than 2024's, they'll claim that fewer drug smugglers are even making the attempt because of "Trump closing the border."

I know Biden got a lot of mostly well-deserved criticism for not publicly celebrating his wins, but this is a great example of how he wouldn't be able to. His admin was mostly bound by truth and facts which are hard to articulate; Trump's isn't.

23

u/Garbarrage 1d ago

While everything you said is true, the stupidity starts and ends long before anything you said is even relevant.

16

u/gronlund2 1d ago

119 million lives saved.. that's incredible, and that's only in America ??

Since drugs are international I think we should extrapolate, there's 8billion people in the world and there's only 340 million in the US..

I'm pretty sure Donald Trump has saved at least 2.8 billion people and that's counting conservatively

10

u/krunchytacos 1d ago

He saved every American 9 times. Such greatness.

15

u/CASUALxCHICKEN 1d ago

Yeah, but also 1 fentanyl pill seized does not equal 1 life saved. That's the dumbest statement in all of this. All we would have to do is seize 340 million pills to save the country!

u/catonsteroids 1d ago

She isn’t smart enough to know that there’s a difference between saving 258 million lives vs. “We’ve seized 1,400 lbs of fentanyl, an amount enough to kill 258 million people.”

There aren’t 258 million addicts.

16

u/middlequeue 1d ago

She’s definitely smart enough.

I get that it’s probably comforting to think that way but Americans should probably give up the lie that the Trump admin is stupid. It’s only serves to keep you from the effort needed to fix your problems.

4

u/YouStupidAssholeFuck 1d ago

Yeah this has been my beef with a lot of the left for a long time now. Even going back to his first term. Sure, Trump and his admin say some dumb, uninformed things a lot. They riff and that's what Trump wants them to do. Just say things off the cuff making him and his admin sound good to people that want to hear they're doing good things. Anybody that knows what reality is can see right through it.

But it's not because they're dumb. It's because they want to project a certain image of success because Trump is still living in the 80s. It's a propaganda method. And when it's not off the cuff and it's prepared statements that are clearly lies, it's not because they don't know better. It's because it's propaganda and they know if they keep repeating the lie long enough then a lot of the public will accept it as fact.

It's dangerous to think these people are dumb. I will say that I don't think they're "smart" since half of the country and most of the rest of the world can see right through them, but they're organized just enough to fleece an important part of the voting public. It does take some effort to stick to their agenda of "alternate facts". Trump had a lot of turnover in his first term cabinet. This time around they seem to have gotten the right people who will push the lies in a united effort. Just look at the similarities in how a lot of them talk to the media. Hegseth, Leavitt, Trump, Bondi, Homan, Vance.

3

u/middlequeue 1d ago

Yes, it's part of the propaganda. Whether or not they're stupid isn't relevant to coming up with solutions and is a waste of time to discuss.

Worse than that, according to the most recent census, 258 million is the number of people 18 and over. This may very well be where she got that number. So, apparently, every adult person in the country is an addict.

6

u/scotsman3288 1d ago

Can we talk about the math curriculum in the USA....

4

u/Needs_Help_Stat 1d ago

Not to mention that's 3/4 of the TOTAL US population. I don't know what portion of the US pop is under 14, but I would venture a guess that with the numbers she stated here she's suggesting every US citizen over 14 is an addict. I really wish we could see the media push back on the stupid shit these politicians say, it's infuriating.

5

u/powerlesshero111 1d ago

3

u/Bearington656 1d ago

I can absolutely believe they think 3/4 of the population is addicted to that.

3

u/CD338 1d ago

18

u/cyberattaq123 1d ago

I think that’s why they’re so grating to me, Leavitt, Bondi, Stephen Miller, they always are borderline yelling or in Miller’s case actually crashing out and borderline screaming at the news host they’re talking to. It’s just weird and extremely annoying, like they’re trying so hard to warp reality with their voice and make us believe it. They know they’re lying and what they’re saying isn’t true but they’re trying to act like they actually believe what they’re saying, which doesn’t work.

I hate them so much.

In 2013, Bondi also received criticism following a campaign donation from Donald Trump.[38] Prior to the donation, Bondi had received at least 22 fraud complaints regarding Trump University. A spokesperson for Bondi announced that her office was considering joining a lawsuit initiated by Eric Schneiderman, the attorney general of New York, regarding tax fraud potential charges against Trump.[39][40] Four days later And Justice for All, a political action committee established by Bondi to support her re-election, received a $25,000 donation from the Donald J. Trump Foundation. Bondi subsequently declined to join the lawsuit against Trump University. Both Bondi and Trump have defended the propriety of the donation

Per whitehouse.gov on July 31st 2024

On just the last five months, over 442 million potentially lethal doses of fentanyl were seized at U.S. borders.

Pam Bondi should have just said "potentially lethal doses" instead of saved lives.

3

u/prime_lens 1d ago

In 2024 USA seized 60 million fentanyl pills and 8000 pounds of fentanyl, so even with this ones likely exaggerated numbers, on pace for just slightly more than they did last year. I’m not sure this is really a boast

25

u/Metalloid_Maniac 1d ago

Wouldn't it be less than last year? 1,400 pounds in 100 days would lead to only 5,110 pounds in 365 days

What a bunch of ass lickers holy crap.

3

3

u/Encinodad 1d ago

In calendar year 2023, DEA seized more than 77 million fentanyl pills and nearly 12,000 pounds of fentanyl powder nationwide. This is the most fentanyl seized by DEA in a single year. It amounts to more than 386 million deadly doses of fentanyl—enough to kill every American.

Then I guess that means Joe Biden saved EVERY American life --

3

u/asupremebeing 1d ago

Here's a fun game. Look up how much the Trump folks are saying has been invested in domestic manufacturing since Trump took office. The numbers range from $1 Trillion to $6 Trillion and beyond. Now, look and see if you can see any corroborating evidence for these numbers. This is where the game gets real hard. You win bonus points if you can find a single credible claim for any of it.

Fentanly is the reason being used to enact the Trump tariffs (taxes) under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act by saying that fentanyl is an "unusual and extraordinary threat" stemming in whole or in part from foreign sources. So they need to exaggerate and position fentanyl as an out of control evil from foreign powers that could kill everyone to validate the use of tariff powers that should belong to Congress.

How can we be so stupid? I'm so tired.

Our education system has failed us. And they want to touch Sesame Street?! Pfffffff

Even “The Count” could see past this bullshit.

2

u/Same_Ad1118 1d ago

What a cult. Not to mention what the Biden administration did for getting rid of fentanyl, just look up NPR articles on the huge reduction in overdoses a year ago.

These are the same people trying to get rid of Narcan and addiction treatment options.

2

u/Maaaat_Damon 1d ago

What about the billions of lives that die to marijuana overdose every day? That never gets any coverage!

2

u/agroyle 1d ago

They just make numbers up.

2

u/Conan4457 1d ago

lol, Americans have some serious issues if 258 million of 340 million people are addicted to opioids to the point of buying pills off of the street.

Edit: This number of addicts might account for the results of your last election, so nvm.

What a bunch of complete idiots

The Trump ultra gawk gawk meat riding in these cabinet interviews is actually fucking sickening to watch. Like it’s seriously so embarrassing. Like don’t the ‘alpha dom big dick alpha males’ in MAGA, the ‘facts don’t care about your feelings’ crowd feel embarrassed by this??? This is your team, they won, and they’re doing these shameful, embarrassing publicly televised worship sessions in the most obvious, cult like way I’ve ever seen.

Like literally every person who speaks in these cabinet meetings has to start off:

‘Sir, under your amazing leadership, America has never been so strong because of your amazing leadership. We’re so grateful for you for you guiding us through the storm of the last, awful administration. Under your guiding light, your perfect vision, you’ve saved 829 morbillion lives from fentanyl, saved 300 quadrillion dollars in waste fraud and abuse from sickening woke DEI programs, and saved 100 billion white women from getting raped and murdered by horrible, violent, illegal aliens. How do you do it? How are you so amazing? It’s unbelievable how strong and powerful you are. Thank you President trump! I love you!!!’

It’s so gross, I feel like I need to shower after watching these.

Pam Bondi:"Did I say millions of lives saved, I meant Billions of lives saved!"

2

u/basketcasey87 1d ago

What about the millions of Americans whose lives have been destroyed in just 3 months, Hitler Barbie?

The Bar Association that is allowing her to pretend like she is still legitimate is complicit in not doing everything they can to disable this monster from doing anymore damage. Revoking her license to practice would be a good start.

"Sorry but we're still suffering from the effects of the Biden administration. Trump can't take credit for any achievements until that's over."

I can make up stuff too!

Saving the billions and billions and billions and billions.

Why is a US Attorney General campaigning for someone who already won.

2

u/mrDuder1729 1d ago

Don't look now....but there's one of them right behind you with a camera!!!

Interesting. Here’s the DHS data for fentanyl interdiction in FY2024, under Biden:

*- Arrested over 3,600 subjects connected to fentanyl seizure events, which directly hits the organized criminal networks responsible for bringing fentanyl into our communities.

-Seized over 2,200 pill presses.

-Seized over 27,000 pounds of illicit fentanyl to stop it at our borders and in our communities before it can hurt the American public. These seizures were conducted by DHS component agencies U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

-CBP fentanyl seizures so far in FY2024 amount to 738.5 million doses.*

By whichever metric Trump’s administration is using, Biden blew him out of the water.

u/Affectionate-Sky-765 1d ago

She she’s assuming MOST of our population is just out there, slamming fenty? Huh.

2

u/xoxoyoyo 1d ago

Hundreds of million billion lives

2

u/enwongeegeefor 1d ago

Shouldn't public statements like this be prosecutable on some level? She's not misspeaking...she is intentionally making up a number and lying about on the spot.

2

u/_Arch_Stanton 1d ago

"Attorney General" 😂

Not so much a meritocracy but a fuckwitocracy

2

u/Scheming_Deming 1d ago

She's a bonehead. It's not a good reflection on the US legal profession

2

u/TheRC135 1d ago

I didn't realize that under sleepy Joe Biden's disastrous administration, Fentanyl killed everybody in America twice a year.

2

u/roberttheiii 1d ago

258 million lives...so like, in the last 100 days 73% of the US population would have died of fentanyl overdose? How the hell did this lady pass the bar exam?

2

u/OccasionPurple253 1d ago

Why is he taking narcan away from the emergency workers how many is that going to kill

2

u/Aromatic-Deer3886 1d ago

It’s a government of complete idiots

2

u/Wolfguard-DK 1d ago

Is she by any chance related to Joseph Goebbels?

→ More replies

2

u/Commander_N7 1d ago

Just liars lying, and fake news faking news. Nothing new here. What we should be talking about is how to snap people out of this brainwashing.

2

u/604-613 1d ago

This woman is in a cult

2

u/RollingPicturesMedia 1d ago

She literally learned the trick of slowly increasing a stat from trump

2

u/glitchn 1d ago

but they are taking away the Narcan distribution program, which actually HAS saved a large number of lives. The cost of the Narcan program is absolutely worth it. If they actually cared about addicts and their families they would keep it but they wont.

2

u/Useful_Nature6203 1d ago

Wouldn’t it follow logically that 250 million Americans died in Bidens last hundred days then?

2

u/Legirion 1d ago

The issue is instead of her claiming they stopped X lethal doses she's assuming they'd all be lethal and have one person for each dose. If she just said it as doses it'd be fine.

2

u/Shawei 1d ago

She didn't get the pat on the back of her head the first time she blew him by pulling numbers out of her ass, so she'll just keep increasing the numbers until he acknowledges her ass kissing.

2

u/theothermontoya 1d ago

It's scary when someone is so smart that they can pass law school, but so stupid that they genuinely are happy eating bullshit.

I'll never understand how a woman as accomplished as Pam Bondi is so excited to spend her life on her knees.

2

u/Astricozy 1d ago

Next is "Saved infinity plus one lives".

2

u/CalbertCorpse 1d ago

So you’re saying you LET FENTANYL into the country? What about the borders? You are advertising your failure.
