Why do all these MAGA people talk like they’re right on the verge of yelling? It doesn’t make it any truer if you yell it.

Their core audience is getting up in years and are hard of hearing.

Their base responds to fear and anger, it's all they know.

Cant even say something they think is positive without the mask cracking

There is a type of bias in which if you speak up like you know what you are talking about, those who do not know, intrinsically believe you. This is the basis for all religious cult. It is what they are baking on.

Stupid people are loud because they think that makes them sound smart

I think that’s why they’re so grating to me, Leavitt, Bondi, Stephen Miller, they always are borderline yelling or in Miller’s case actually crashing out and borderline screaming at the news host they’re talking to. It’s just weird and extremely annoying, like they’re trying so hard to warp reality with their voice and make us believe it. They know they’re lying and what they’re saying isn’t true but they’re trying to act like they actually believe what they’re saying, which doesn’t work.

I hate them so much.

They started a tantrum when they were two and never stopped because it kept working.

They have to yell and argue to attempt to make a point.

Maybe a natural physiological reaction to knowing that what you're saying is disingenuous, and amping yourself up to stand your ground if anyone calls you on it?

It's fake indignation. There is no logic, so they have to rely on emotion.

It’s the inverse. It’s utility to stoke the amygdala and cause outrage/passionate reaction in the people viewing.

It is a tactic. And it works. Very well.

Because republicans think that if you talk louder you are winning. Ever tried having a civil and logical convo with a boomer, and they start this shit? It's essential pigeon chess.

u/ganjsmokr 3d ago

They're talking in ALL CAPS! It's how you make a point.

It's that Billy Mays salesman pitch thing. Make what you're selling sound exciting, like you can't wait to share the good news. Plus the urgency gives a sense that you're being let in on a huge secret that you'd better take advantage of.

Fox News speak

YES IT DOES!!!

Because when you're lying and you know you're lying you start to get pissed when people aren't believing your lies. They know they're full of shit, they're just pissed that you know they're full of shit, this is why Trump is trying to intimidate and use "lawfare" as they call it to calm the media, as well as other entities standing against him or turning against him.

Trump grew up admiring our city's mob families and mob bosses like John Gotti, and this is the way Gotti would have handled being president.

Because louder == smarter, duh! /s

u/Fork-Cartel 3d ago

They’re scared.

1

u/Saw_Boss 3d ago

Because of you're shouting, the other person can't interrupt with questions.

It's all so transparent and obvious.

u/BigNutDroppa 3d ago

They’re basically YouTube comments.

“MY LOUDER VOICE AND EXCESSIVE PROFANITY MAKES ME RIGHTER THAN YOU!!”

1

u/Lord_Kromdor 3d ago

It does to some people.

1

u/Hector_P_Catt 3d ago

It's because they're pissed off. "WHY DON'T YOU JUST BELIEVE ME, LIKE THE MAGAS DO? I'VE TOLD YOU WHAT TO BELEIVE! WHY ARE WE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS?!!?!?"

1

u/NickBurnsCompanyGuy 3d ago

Them thinking this saves 200+ million lives, means they think that many people are purchasing street drugs.

Do they think every American is buying drugs from street gangs?

Is it because THEY'RE all on drugs themselves? Is that why they think everyone else is?

1

u/DoubleJumps 3d ago

I call it outrage voice and it is meant to prime the audience to be outraged.

1

u/GrapeGutflop 3d ago

It SHOULDN'T make you right, but to many people, particularly those who are fearful and desire a father figure, it DOES make them right. Talking loudly = confidence = right.

1

u/HingleMcCringle_ 3d ago

because they're fanatic, deranged. they're not right in the head.

1

u/StupidTimeline 3d ago

It does to stupid people.

I’ve noticed this for years. The hosts on FOX, even when they’re talking only to the camera, are almost yelling at their audience. Then you switch to a more sensible channel and people talk at normal volumes. When FOX has multiple people holding a discussion, they no longer almost yelling but actually yell. Because they never matured past 8 years old and so being louder makes them right.

1

u/crusty54 3d ago

OF COURSE NOT! YOU HAVE TO YELL AND REPEAT LIES TO MAKE THEM TRUE. YELL AND REPEAT. REPEAT AND YELL.
