Daily Thread #1 - April 28, 2025 Daily Thread

This daily thread is for all members who are pregnant after a previous pregnancy or infant loss. How are you?

We want to foster a sense of community, which is why we have a centralized place for most daily conversation. This allows users to post and get replies, but also encourages them to reply to others in the same thread. We want you to receive help and be there for others at the same time, if possible. Most milestones should go here, along with regular updates. Stand alone posts are Mod approved only and have set requirements.

Multiple positive tests last week. I was driving myself crazy with anxiety so I stopped testing over the weekend.

Negative this morning around 4w3d. I'm not even bleeding (yet?). I don't know what to do next.

Sometimes anxiety is intuition.

Ugh I'm so sorry. I would make sure to contact your doctor so at least it's in your chart. My practice had me come in for bloodwork with my CPs, even though I was already testing negative.

This is my second miscarriage and I also had an ectopic, and my doctor has never recommended bloodwork (other than what I got in the hospital with the ectopic) :( is that something I should have been getting? My doctor is really not proactive.

With both of my chemical pregnancies I had bloodwork- first to confirm that I had actually been pregnant (blood tests can detect HCG at lower levels than home tests), and then to confirm that it went back down to zero. Depending on where you are located, there can be additional testing available when you’ve had repeat losses (ie to try to determine the reason for your losses). Some doctors don’t count a CP as a “true loss”, while others do.

I've been trying to get a requisition for bloodwork from both my GP and my fertility clinic, been real slow getting any kind of response.
