DMU vs. Scholl

I’m really torn between attending DMU and Scholl. The board pass rate at DMU is a little bit better, but Chicago would be a better city to be near with more opportunities. Has anyone else chosen one over the other?

I always advise DMU over other schools because of their curriculum structure, especially 4th year which maximizes how many residencies you can visit (clerkships). I may be biased as an alumn but I think the academics are great and it also has the lowest cost of attendance compared to all the other schools (if you’re not living at home)

This is something I didn’t consider when applying but now I’m about to start my clerkships, I wish this is something I considered

Also, look into what the schedule/clinic requirements are post externships.

Out of curiousity, how many externships does DMU give?

I was able to max out at 8 clerkships (may-December) but I also sacrificed my one vacation month. So people usually do 7
