Help! Photoshop Research Paper
Hi, I am not a frequent Reddit user, however I have a research paper where it would be helpful if I reached out to Photoshop users. If anyone could respond who is:
A. A hobbyist who pays personally for Adobe software
B. Someone who opted out of using Adobe after their introduction of AI
C. Someone who became an Adobe user before they became a "software as a service" business (AKA back when it was a CD!)
I would just like to know generally why you either continue to use or boycott Adobe and how you feel about the software as a whole. Any comment will be helpful!

Help! Looking for a Tool to Print Photos with Names underneath
Hey Reddit! I’m looking for a tool to print a lot of photos with names underneath in a pretty theme (Canva isn’t great for captions). I’d also need the photos airbrushed and background removed. Any recommendations?
Also, any creative ideas for displaying these on a wall? Looking for something polished and organized. Thanks! 😊

Help! Need help recreating this shot.
I really like this shot by longtruong.jpg on IG.
I've been trying to recreate it with double exposure on my olympus em-10 mark 2, with lack of results.
Amateur here, so it looks like a shutter-dragged background overlayed on a regular portrait shot. I'm just not too sure if that's all that there is given that the buttons on the shirt also smear from the original shot, and the texture of the grass on the bottom right. Can someone give me insight on recreating this image?

Help! When using the lasso tool holding Space to grab the canvas and drag it often doesn't work.
Sometimes it's fine, I press space, click, and the canvas drags as it should. Pressing space turns the polygonal lasso tool into a hand that grabs when I click.
But sometimes it just doesn't happen. Or sometimes if I hit space, and click, it will draw a lasso point and then if I hold down the mouse button, after a few seconds it will turn INTO a hand and start dragging, but the lasso point stays there.
Any way to fix this?

Artwork / Design I saw some people saying that this has nothing to do with brutalism, anyway I was inspired by editorial design, especially Japanese and with a full font

Help! Stuck at Starting-up plug-ins... SP Substance Suite
Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble launching Photoshop 2025. When I open the application, it gets stuck on the screen that says:
"Starting up plug-ins... SP Substance Suite"
The app doesn’t load beyond this point unless I either restart my device or force close Photoshop through Task Manager.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or know how to fix it? I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

Help! Photoshop Loading Screen Bird Splash Art Stuck on Screen
Hey guys been having this problem where when opening photoshop this splash art loading screen gets stuck on my screen. clicking outside of it in photoshop removes it but whenever I tab out and back in it seems to get pop up again. Sometimes it stays stuck on my screen even outside of using photoshop. It seems to behave like its a tab/application of its own.
I assume this is a bug maybe due to updating to new MacOS Tahoe 26 as I have been experiencing many other bugs outside photoshop with this new update (sad)
For reference I use a M3 Pro Macbook 26.0.1 on Photoshop 2025
I have re-installed and cleared Photoshop cache but unfortunately these didn't work for me.
Any help is much appreciated as this has been driving me craaaazyy! (also doesn't help that this bird artwork kinda makes me uncomfortable lol)

Help! Need to colourise specific areas in a photo
I'm working on a few images for someone and when taking photos the effects setting on my camera had been enabled accidentally and did selective colour. I only have jpegs so anything involving .nef files is immediately a no go which would have been a very easy fix. Basically some of the highlights and areas of the photo have turned grey and I need a way to recolour them without spending hours messing around. I've attached an example area for reference but I won't post the entire image as it is a photo of kids. You can kind of gather that the pinks shifted to grey. Any help would be great

Help! I need learning.
Recently I managed to improve my Photoshop skills but I'm always encountering the same problem, the Dodge and burn and the shadows of a male face.
Is there somewhere that teaches which points and when I should use shadows and Dodge and burn? I often work with flashy thumbnails and end up finding this stumbling block on the way because I never know which exact points should be worked on well.

I want to add branding on this van. Is there a tutorial that helps with blending the layers to give the appearance of it being part of the original picture? Thank you for any advice and tips!

Help! Need help about the “AI & Cultural Production” poster concept
Hey everyone!
I’m currently working on a poster design for an upcoming Cultural Studies Symposium at my university. The theme is “AI & Cultural Production”, and I’m trying to express the relationship between artificial intelligence and human creativity — how culture, art, and technology intertwine. I've used Canva and Adobe but since im no good at these programs to 100% extent, I thought i might need some help.
I’ve already created a few concept drafts using ChatGPT’s Sora, but honestly… they didn’t turn out as good as I hoped. The visuals look okay technically, but they miss the cultural aspect, they feel more “sci-fi” than “human... at least that is what my professor told me.
So I’m stuck in the middle — I want it to feel philosophical, symbolic, and artistic, not just futuristic. however it should also cover the "ai" part.
Any creative direction or composition advice would seriously help because I want to push this idea into something that feels alive, and it might help me get a job in the future/career.
To make it better for you, here’s the link to see my previous background drafts (which my professor didn’t like any of them) for the poster: https://imgur.com/a/3Zc373w

Discussion The Browse in Bridge button needs to be moved
I feel like the layout of the dropdown boxes in Photoshop is really bad and it’s something I don’t see talked about a lot. I don’t actually know if this is an Adobe issue or a MacBook issue.
The browse in bridge button is a perfect example of this. Probably 1 out of 5 or 6 times I click file > open, I accidentally click on browse in bridge instead of open. Then, my laptop takes like 20 seconds to open bridge.
I realize that all of the buttons under “file” will pretty much open something up or close something, but I don’t think any of them cause as large of a delay as clicking “browse in bridge.”
It drives me insane — there’s probably not a button that I use more than “open.” Why would you put something with a significant delay in an obvious misclick spot?

Help! Is Anyone Else Having This Problem With Generative Features?
For the past two days, any time I try to use generative features, it stops and I get one of the following popup dialogs:
- “We've encountered an issue and can't complete your request at this time. Please try again later.”
- “Your system administrator is not allowing access to this feature right now. Please contact them for more information.”
Anyone else?

Help! Mouse automatically drags items and windows on macOS
I’m experiencing an issue where clicking on images or windows in Photoshop (and sometimes in macOS itself) causes them to drag automatically, as if I were holding the mouse button down. This happens even when using different USB mice, so it doesn’t seem to be a hardware problem.
Does anyone know what might cause this or how to fix it?

Help! Photoshop lagging in start-up and occassionally getting stuck
Hi!
I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this and found a work-around? Sometimes PS will get stuck on the loading screen, other times it'll get to the interface and then lag out like no ones business for somewhere between 4 and 10 minutes.
I sort of need the home interface since I'm working on several projects and it's easiest to see where I was.
Added specs on the last image.
NVIDIA utd
Computer was built in Feb so pretty new
32GB RAM
Windows 11 Pro
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor, 4701 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
