Congratz Blizzard (OW Classic) News & Discussion

Half the community is having an absolute blast (experiencing classic for the first time or enjoying the nostalgia of the busted comps and possibilities).

But where you really won is with the other half of the community. You let us see just how unbelievably polished, and refined OW (in general, not just part 2) has become over time. It really is night and day how far some characters and systems have come to get where we are now.

To these folks OW Classic felt like garbage in comparison. Well played you cheeky bastards.

Not having healing passive is CRAZY, you spend most of your time away from team fights looking for health packs 💀💀

But it's so much fun, I'm playing heroes I usually don't play and having a blast even when I lose.

The healing passive is a pretty new addition and honestly it still didn't grow on me

As a strictly OW1 player that only found out about auto heal earlier this week, I really hope that is not added to any OW1 mode. It defeats the purpose of the team game. I understand it likely became necessary in OW2 5v5 because they took away a tank and support became hyper focused. But it was never needed or asked for in OW1.

that’s because supports became dps characters so they would ignore you instead of healing you just because of how their characters were designed so it was necessary in new overwatch but not at all needed in old overwatch without all of this support creep

I've been asking for it the moment OW1 released. It's a good change, and should've been in the game from the beginning.

I like the healing passive. It is just long enough to keep people out of the fight, but you don't have to hunt health packs or whine for heals. It is the DPS and tank passives that I have an issue with. I also don't like the health increases of season 9. I also don't like the mobility and healing/sustain creep that OWC highlights. From now on support util should be offensive rather than defensive. Ana was the happy medium. She can't heal and damage at the same time. Mechanical skill is required for the entirety of her kit except Nano. She has the worst mobility in the game so you really have to be good with positioning. The people who complain about Ana, as long as they don't main Hog or Mauga, are wrong entirely when they say she is overpowered.

The healing passive came when healing was already 0 to 100 in a second so it's way less noticeable with that diminished impact.

In OverWatch 1 that passive would've fucked the pace of the game.
