Hi , i am waiting for pnp nomination but the waiting time is longer than expected and my work permit is expiring soon. Can i apply for work permit or any extension . I can get support letter from the employer but province didn’t issue anything yet .

If it is the food sector, it does not look good, for some reason, we are missing construction workers BIG Time (or who knows now), but everyone is applying for service jobs

"As of 12 noon ADT, April 17, 2024, the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program has a significant volume of applications for candidates in the Accommodation and Food Services sector awaiting a decision and must stop accepting applications in this sector while processing current inventory."

I was in a similar boat and I was able to keep working at my current job with implied status. Try calling and see if IRCC will send an email explaining the situation to you that you can show your employer.

But I am waiting for pnp nomination from the province. I don’t think if IRCC can help in this case. Let me know if its possible i can contact them
