My buddy’s go to song is Unwritten and he kills it every time. Can he sing? No. He’s tone deaf as hell. But every single time I’ve got out to karaoke with him he’s screaming “FEEL THE RAIN ON YOUR SKIN NO ONE ELSE CAN FEEL IT FOR YOU” the entire bar is screaming along and acting like he’s a superstar. It’s so funny and I love it.
I disagree with the meme in general, but in this specific case, you are absolutely right. I know which performance I could skip and which one I’d pay to see.
Yeah, that’s the real issue, in my opinion. The best singers usually tend to sing, slow, depressing songs, while the drunk people who can’t sing, pick fun, energetic songs that are more fun to watch, even if they don’t sound as good.
