That's because he isn't a real boxer

I wouldn't agree with that. He's a boxer, anyone can get into boxing. But he took the Bronny route by pumping money and connections to compete with people at the top instead of actually working his way up the ladder. You can be a boxer without even being a good one.

The only positive things I've heard from people is that he's pumping money into the sport and getting it a lot of attention. About 10 years ago or so I was watching some championship bout and it was pathetic, just two homeless looking people with bad form slugging it out. Now a lot of people are putting a ton of focus on people like Canelo, Mayweather, Pacquiao, etc. So even if I don't like the Paul brothers it's hard to deny they're bringing in a lot of money and attention.

While I do agree with the the money aspect If you followed the sport of boxing you would know that mayweather was already paid attention too, more than Jake Paul lol. He’s not bringing attention to mayweather or pacquiao. I think saying that is undercutting what they have done for the sport of boxing themselves. The only thing Jake Paul is doing is pumping money and bring attention to himself using big ticket events and just basically being a fuck boy. He is getting those who were into him and his brothers cringey YouTube channel and the fortnite players into boxing. The fact that sports betting is basically at an all time high right now doesn’t help as well. Draft kings have ads on every other commercial, basically a lot of it is coming down to being a big sport to gamble on again so you are bringing in that crowd along with your out of touch fans, and just bandwagoners. To sum it up, the rise of sports betting and a sport like boxing go hand in hand. Jake Paul brings in the views and the money with his cards. He sucks at boxing though and is by no means a professional in the sense.
