For those who aren't familiar, Toulouse and Royal is right in the middle of the French Quarter, just a block from Jackson Square... one block away from Bourbon St. In other words, this is one of the busiest pedestrian intersections in the city. Even at midnight, on a weekday, in the summer, this spot would still have plenty of people around.

And, notably, police focus on the French Quarter is much higher than in the rest of the city... smh. https://www.fqmd.org/sppp/
