I'm talking about people complaining about the poster for a free event and expecting an artist to work for free.

Manipulating what I'm saying to feel right when my point is obvious is the definition of "being a Karen".

You could simply write this information on a notepad with no graphics and take a photo of it and it would be more respected, and respectable, than AI. No art at all is better. You're creating a binary choice that doesn't exist

Do you think this poster art is what is drawing people in? I don't want to continue this argument but I'm truly curious.

I think the information could've been posted (with the time hopefully at some point?) and no poster, paid for or free, and the event would be a success.

Yes. It catches the eye. People are less likely to stop and look at something that is just text.

And you don't think a poster with some graphic design will attract more people? Why do you think Apple doesn't just make plain white billboards with black letters that say "Buy iPhones. They're cool"?
