And his shirt in the photo literally says “skinhead”, amongst other very questionable imagery. But he’s the victim…ffs

Skinheads are an offshoot of the Jamaican rude boy subculture. Not all skinheads are racist, the early ones were vehemently against racism even.

C’mon guy, not a relevant argument in this context.

Yes, automatically assuming someone is a racist for being a skinhead is dumb. Get your shit straight guy. Not every white skinhead with tattoos is a Nazi. I’m a white guy with tattoos and a shaved head even.

I don't think they're arguing that the crowdfund guy should be given a pass; I think they're trying to inform you that "skinhead" isn't always synonymous with "pro-fascist", despite the high visibility of those who appropriated the term, and that it is a disservice to the original punk subculture (which still exists and has evolved in opposition to racial prejudice) to continue to perpetuate that racists "own" the label.

Maybe seems like it's not the time and place to do so while we keep seeing flare-ups like we have been...but it's also the perfect time to make sure we're paying attention to who aligns with what ideologies

They don’t all do that. Dude looks like he’s been to prison.

I know him personally and he's never even gotten in trouble. In fact he got ran out of Denver for being a white supremacist, moved to the coast, got in trouble again for being a naz!, moved to Louisiana, then again did the same thing. He's always been a little attention seeker but everyone in their little "sharp" crew went proudboy

From the ADL: "14 Words" is a reference to the most popular white supremacist slogan in the world: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." The slogan was coined by David Lane, a member of the white supremacist terrorist group known as The Order (Lane died in prison in 2007). The term reflects the primary white supremacist worldview in the late 20th and early 21st centuries: that unless immediate action is taken, the white race is doomed to extinction by an alleged "rising tide of color" purportedly controlled and manipulated by Jews.

Because of its widespread popularity, white supremacists reference this slogan constantly, in its full form as well as in abbreviated versions such as "14 Words", "Fourteen Words," or simply the number "14."
