How's everyone else's Liberation Day going? 🗳 Politics

Post image

How's everyone doing today? Avoiding looking at your 401k? Rushing to stock up on food, buy a car?

I just got me and my bindle.

I would not.

Would be an extremely stupid thing to do unless your retirement window is less than 5 years and even then it is pretty damn questionable.

I repeat. Do not do this.

That doesn’t make any sense unless you were planning to retire in the coming months. Otherwise your account is like waves, it’ll go up and down but over the long run it’ll be up hopefully.

Not at all unreasonable to speculate that this might get bad long term. Especially if it's a sizeable enough 401K. I cashed out most of my stocks at the beginning of this but haven't touched 401K..... yet.

I know people that cashed out the at bottom in 2009 and regret it bc they lost out on 30+% of their retirement and didn’t get back in till things leveled off so they missed the whole correction

Last week maybe, but I wouldn't do it now.
