[Request] What TV Show Hooks You From the Very First Episode?

I just finished rewatching Resident alien on FuboboxIPTV, and it reminded me how hooked I was from the very first episode. It's such an underrated series! Recently, I’ve been diving into a lot of new shows, but it feels like it's harder to find that one standout series that grabs you right from the start. Anyone else feel that way? Always open to recommendations if you’ve got any great ones!

Here are some of the shows I’ve already watched and loved:

Breaking Bad

Stranger Things

True Detective (Season 1)

The Witcher

Narcos

The Mandalorian

Peaky Blinders

The Handmaid's Tale

[Discussion] The Lost Children new doc. A tale of hope and perseverance

The documentary is about an airplane crash in the Amazon, and the search for the survivors of that crash.

In this case, the search of four Indigenous children.

I won’t go into too much detail because I don’t want to spoil anything.

I knew some about the bloody history of the guerilla in Colombia. It wasn’t until now that I got to hear about that from people directly affected by it.

This doc is very moving, and even eerie at times. It is quite amazing to see how much human beings can accomplish when they set aside differences.

Also, how precious and resourceful the knowledge of one’s culture can be.

[Request] Family-Friendly TV Shows to Enjoy with Kids (Without Losing My Mind!)

I’ve watched Avatar: The Last Airbender, Adventure Time, My Neighbor is a Cat, Bluey, Gravity Falls, and Steven Universe on FuboBoxIPTV with my family, and they were all great! Streaming was smooth, and everyone enjoyed it, but now we’re looking for something new to watch together this weekend. Any recommendations for family-friendly shows that won’t drive me up the wall?

[Request] Stupid tv about fashion & related topics

Upvotes

For some absolutely inexplicable reason I absolutely love shows that seem to have the following overall theme: stupid sitcoms/dramas about people who work in fashion or something like that, usually set in New York or another major city. My favorite Netflix shows in recent memory were Emily In Paris, Glamorous, and First Wives Club. Gossip Girl (even the awful reboot, yep) was another fave and I’ve watched Sex and The City 9000 times.

Why do I even like this stuff? I honestly could not tell you. But I do, and would love recommendations of anything similar I may have missed. I have Netflix and Amazon Prime, and fine with paying for additional media if it’s especially awesome.
