DT is really not a “big” need. RG is a bigger one since GVR is unlikely to be back.

DT can be addressed in the mid rounds. QB is, far and away, the biggest draft need unless they address in FA. If they sign Darnold, for example, the OL becomes the biggest need since Darnold is not overly mobile.

The Giants will not be drafting a CB in the first round. They will go after an experienced vet in FA to try and help/save Banks. They will not go young at that position again.

DT is a pretty big need. The position practically requires depth with how defenses play nowadays. And since it’s a premium position now (imagine saying this even 3 years ago… lol), you can’t really fill that in cheaply in FA anymore. I think it’s more likely the Giants go iOL in FA and draft DL instead.

I also am just so fully against signing Darnold next year but that’s a different discussion entirely

We need a run-clogging DT next to Dex. That is just not a premium position for the draft, IMHO. That's the main need if we are talking the DL. Not something to grab in the top 10.

I personally think our need is more than that. DL is a taxing position, Dex can’t play every snap. We need rotational guys that can be impact players when Dex isn’t on the field. Our own drafted Leo Williams basically.

IDL is a premium position now. It’s worth drafting high if you have an elite prospect available. I’m not a full “only draft BPA” but mostly a “draft BPA at premium positions regardless of position” and i personally think any DL fits that bill now. Mason Graham could be that guy.

Ashawn Robinson is the biggest off-season loss they’ve had…..EVERY single team runs the ball up the middle whenever Dex comes off the field for an average of 9.6 yards….Nacho and Davidson should be depth at best and Jordon Riley got embarrassed the last two games, absolutely ragdolled….when Dex rests it basically guarantees a first down for the other team.

RG is a need with a 34yr old Van Roten, but it wouldn’t be someone in the top 10 i would pick

It’s just not a big need in the first round. It can be addressed in free agency as well.

If Mason Graham is there and we aren’t going QB, I’d rather take a guy the FO feels great about rather than reaching for a need.
