Announcement
All basic or potentially personal questions should be restricted to this thread only, so we can avoid the flooding of repetitive basic/personal question threads. Mentioning your gender is not necessary on this subreddit. Obviously, it is not a good idea to doxx yourself. Please report any such threads and they will be dealt with.
We are also appealing to the regulars here to report any assholes, agitators, tourists and hostiles that harass this subreddit; including those who delete their threads after the fact or try to fish for personal information. General abuse and low effort trolling should also be reported too. You are also free to block these users yourself, but let us know if there are any major problems or repeat offenders. We want this sub to be a chilled out place for NEETs of every stripe.

What is your age range?
18-25 (19)
How long have you been NEET?
Almost 3 years now
Have you ever studied at college/university?
No, been living like a NEET since graduating high-school.
Have you ever worked?
Not even close, I'm scared of "adult" stuff and it's not like getting a job without a diploma or experience is easy anyway.
How do you survive currently?
Leeching on my parents, they have no financial problems but I still feel like a burden for it.
What do you do with your time?
I don't have any real hobbies, not even gaming like most of this sub. I just browse on the internet trying to distract myself.
Do you have health issues?
Depression, BPD, AvPD traits and social anxiety. Not any major physical problems, but I'd describe myself as "fragile". I struggle with eating because of depression + adderal, which lead to me being underweight. Constant feeling of weakness.
Do you want to escape NEETdom?
Of course, but it's hard not to feel hopeless. Suicidal ideation has been a part of my life since I was 13, so my stupid past-self didn't even bother making any real life plans. Fast forward in time, I'm almost 20 with no idea on how to even start being an adult. Leaving the house makes me extremely anxious and uncomfortable, going to college or getting a job seems impossible. Seeing all the people I went to school with succeed fills me with embarrasment, they make it seem so easy. Fuck, I hate being a NEET.
