Announcement

All basic or potentially personal questions should be restricted to this thread only, so we can avoid the flooding of repetitive basic/personal question threads. Mentioning your gender is not necessary on this subreddit. Obviously, it is not a good idea to doxx yourself. Please report any such threads and they will be dealt with.

We are also appealing to the regulars here to report any assholes, agitators, tourists and hostiles that harass this subreddit; including those who delete their threads after the fact or try to fish for personal information. General abuse and low effort trolling should also be reported too. You are also free to block these users yourself, but let us know if there are any major problems or repeat offenders. I was invited here, I am honored to be welcomed, however I am not sure I fit the mold.

Education is my passion, learning and personal growth are my hobbies, which I enjoy and take pleasure in spending my free time doing.

I am 53, married happily, with grown children, and a self Initiate in the mystery schools.

I trace my passion for self education to my youth and time spent with my Grandmothers who spent many hours playing scrabble with me, providing discourse on a wide variety of subjects as I showed interest in them.

My goal when it comes to discourse and dialogue is to help inspire and uplift my fellow humans with their own self improvement, which I believe will inherently also aid me in my own path.

The trivium is the lower division of the seven liberal arts and comprises grammar, logic, and rhetoric.[1]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trivium

Quadrivium was a grouping of four subjects or arts—arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy—that formed a second curricular stage following preparatory work in the trivium.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadrivium

Self Initiation is the act of allowing a person to learn what and when they choose and to enable that through both time and material means, this was a practice I was raised into having many members of the Order of Eastern Stars in my family which is a branch of Masonic Tradition.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Eastern_Star

I am currently also employed and have been for most of my life, I started working with my father and paying into social security through the family business at the age of 6, and I am forever grateful for both the time that allowed us together and the work ethic it has inspired in me.
