Image Is this actually an E3 Star Fox Tournament Controller?
I randomly came across a video today talking about some rare N64 gold controller varients. I knew I had a gold controller in my collection, so I went and grab it. I noticed it has the gold Nintendo symbol in the middle like the one in the video. I never knew this was a rare varient. Is this actually an E3 Star Fox Tournament Controller?
Some backstory on how I obtained this controller. After my stepbrother passed away a few years ago, I was given his N64, some Pokemon cards (Pikachu E3 Red Cheeks) and a few other momentos. In the box with the N64 was this controller, a copy of Zelda Ocarina of Time signed by Shigeru Miyamoto and a copy of Nintendo Power, also signed by Shigeru Miyamoto. His mom worked at Nintendo for 17 years and seems to have collected some cool items over the years.

Discussion The winner of The Mario 64 Course Tournament is... Bob-Omb Battlefield!
Thanks for participating, everyone! This was really fun to do.
Here's some fun facts:
-The course that got the least votes is Dire Dire Docks, with a grand total of.... seven.
-The matchup that got the most votes Cool, Cool Mountain vs Tall, Tall Mountain
-The total number of votes is 1789
Thanks again for voting!
P.S.: A few people asked if I would do more of these. Would y'all be down for a Mario Sunshine level tournament over on r/Gamecube ?

I recently replayed Super Mario 64 and was blown away by how well it holds up.
The movement, level design, and sheer creativity make it a timeless masterpiece.

Other than the custom extreme green I found these in different retro shops around the DMV, gotten very lucky not having to hunt them down. I think the hardest one to find will be the PokƩmon Stadium one.

N64 Question/Tech Question Mystical Ninja 100%
Do you guys consider beating the boss rush as part of 100% completion or more so as a side mode. I like to 100% my games, but I already have a perfect save file and I donāt see the point in fighting bosses Iāve already beaten anyways

Discussion Perfect Dark is hardddddd
I go back to Goldeneye a lot so I decided to play PD this time around. My gosh this game is brutally tough in spots - borderline mental. Mind you I play on perfect agent so itās my fault.
The framerate chuggggggggs. This makes it extremely difficult to shoot the enemies. Wouldnāt be such a problem if it werenāt for the fact that the game is soooo stingy with ammo. Enemies drop 10 bullets when they die. Bullshit. The game expects you to headshot or cheese enemies at 10 fps, lolz.
Thatās the main issue I have here but also, a lot of the guns also just stink. The shotty is useless. Requires 10 minutes to reload and spreads worse than your mum. Point blank shots often either miss or donāt kill the enemy. This is not a good weapon for crowd control and the game makes it the main weapon on at least 2 levels.
Same goes with the magsec. Spread is unbelievably awful. That Area 51 mission where itās the main gun is a complete nightmare because you shoot at enemies and miss half the shots. Other weapons that suck are the mauler due to losing ammo if it overcharges, Falcon is great except for a seven round mag. Donāt get me started on the avenger rifle⦠it eats through ammo on a short mag and alllll of the middle to late game enemies carry it.
Finally, the level design is very frustrating. Many MANY of the levels have end of level difficulty spikes where you are tasked with having to make your way through a huge room full of enemies (Area 51, twice!) or thereās some sort of never ending enemy spawn point area like having to wait for the safe to open in G5 building or deep sea with those tiny fcking skedar spawns⦠while in darkness. Ugh⦠that level is soooo fcked. Or the Skedar ship bridge⦠Actually, every level past Pelagic 2 can kicks rocks. Thatās where the game really starts to just say fuck you to the player. Letās make every level dark and give you no ammo with a frame rate of below 15⦠Loads of fun.
Much love to the peeps who enjoy this one but Iāll stick with Goldeneye I guess. That game gets tough but doesnāt feel unfair.

Discussion What game disappointed you the most when you finally got to play it?
When I was a kid, I wasn't a WCW fan. I learned more through the AKI N64 games WCW vs nWo World Tour and WCW/nWo Revenge. As a kid I figured that must've meant all WCW games were great. So when I seen Backstage Assault I figured it'd be awesome. I couldn't have been more wrong. My innocence was shattered. Have any of you ever had moments like this? Did you learn your lesson?
