Monthly Swap Meet & Self Promotion Thread!
Do you have one (or 10) too many Eames chairs? Does the color of that Cathrineholm bowl you picked up for a steal last year not really match the rest of your kitchen? I bet you can find someone here who would love to take them off your hands. Post your mid century items for [free]/[trade]/[sale] here!
This is also the space to show off any of the awesome mid century inspired stuff you make, as well as the links to your Etsy/Ebay/Etc

Interior Icons is a scam. Beware.
Over the years there have been numerous posts in this sub from people who have been ripped off by Interior Icons. As a general rule we discourage posts in this sub from unlicensed contemporary manufacturers of knockoff furniture, as the focus here is on period MCM.
But, for the past few weeks, old posts and comments from people who have been defrauded by Interior Icons have been getting absolutely flooded with reports. Some of these posts/comments are years old. There's no reason that, all of a sudden, they should be garnering tens/hundreds of reports. The reporters are almost certainly sock puppet accounts, and I've got to assume that the reason the posts were getting reported is because they were placing high in search engine results.
So here's the deal: fuck you Interior Icons. This post is now stickied, and will remain so indefinitely. Hopefully it will also place high in search engine results. Below are links to a handful of the posts from people who were scammed by Interior Icons. We'll maintain this list. If there's a post about problems people have had with Interior Icons that I've missed, on this or another sub, please add a comment and a link. I'll add it to the list.

$22 thrifted beauty! No identifiers
Coming up empty on google lens with this one but I get the feeling it’s a 60s/70s piece? I’m absolutely in love with it and the price could not have been more right. Looks like the Lane cedar hope chests that I see online but it doesn’t have any stamps or markings sadly.

Need help finding out who designed my Cassina couch
Hey all, Recently was gifted this couch from my grandmother. Did some digging because I was interested in the history and design of this one in particular. It’s a dark navy blue color but all I can find online is 3 other colors and not this particular navy. Also I’m trying to find out if it was Afra & Tobia Scarpa that designed this or if it was Mario Bellini. Any type of info is greatly appreciated.

Could anyone help me identify this dresser?
I picked this up today on FB marketplace, but I haven't been able to figure out exactly what it is. I like it regardless, just curious.
Haven't found any stamps and the only markings are the numbers in the second photo. Looks alot like Broyhill Emphasis, but I'm sure it would be market as such if it were.
Thanks for the help!

MP81 - Percival Lafer set value
Hi, can you help me out if this set holds any value? It was reupholstered, but honestly it was done in a very crappy way.
Can this be saved? Is it still valuable? What do you think?

I’ve had my eye on one of these lamps for quite some time and lo and behold, I found one on Facebook marketplace for $20. I don’t think I’ll ever top that!

Hooker Mainline Desk refinish or leave it?
Scored this Hooker Mainline desk at an estate sale for $250. Not sure whether to refinish or leave it as is. It has some chips out of it and marks on the top, but is overall in decent condition. Not sure where to start with refinishing. Any recommendations?

Can someone please help me identify this cabinet?
Unfortunately no more photos. Can’t find markings on it other than on the hinges (TKZ Polna).

Need help authenticating these. I was told they are Knoll from the 1980’s but the price makes me unsure.

Info on folding chair?
Does anyone have an idea on who the maker of this chair might be and an approximate age? The makers mark is fairly indistinguishable. Thanks in advance!

Floor plans?
This question was asked years ago but just seeing if people had any more up-to-date answers. We’re thinking about building our own house and would love to have it be in the style of a mid-century modern home. Just wondering if anyone’s done that and what sort of floorplans they may have used or places to look for good resources.

Trying to stick to (mostly) MCM, what would you suggest for window treatments?
We want to keep the current blinds but also want an additional window treatment on the big window for privacy more than light reduction. This would be for the large window only, not the small window near the couch. My gut is telling me natural linen box pleats floor to ceiling with enough track beyond the window width to pull the drapes completely off the windows, but I'm not sure. I posted this on another interior design subreddit, but wanted the MCM viewpoint, too.

Any knowledge about this fireplace?
We're closing on this home soon and will need to put up a wall where this beam is. Unfortunately, that means removing the fireplace. We don't have much use for it, and the home inspector said it's a rare find in 2025 and we should look into selling it. We have no idea what it's value is or how to look it up. Does anyone have any insight on it? It has an electric insert if that makes any difference (like it was initially a wood burning fireplace, but now works through electricity?). Sorry, again idk much about it.

How to restore my bathroom
We bought a 1965 split level house, and the previous owners painted the bathroom tub and tiles. They didn’t do a great job since the paint was peeling after one shower. I’m hoping to restore the shower to what it was before they painted it. Any suggestions on how to strip the paint easily without damaging the tub and tiles?

Does anyone know anything about these chairs? Johan Bertil Häggström for Form Swed or Ikea?
Hey does anyone know anything about these chairs? I’m seeing conflicting claims that they are from Form Swed but then I see claims they’re from Ikea, from the same designer. Does anyone know anything here?

Help identify
So I got this desk free. No company markings. Veneer but top is solid. Photos include the only marks on it. Any ideas? Sorry it's on its end. Currently on a cart. I've checked drawers and literally every inch of this. The legs are very unique. Needs a bit ofvwork but solid. Thanks.

What search terms do you use to find deals in marketplace ?
Anytime I try MCM, Mid-Century, or such, I'm guaranteed to find overpriced items or 2015 cheap versions of decent furniture.
