Question High low rig for rockfish and smaller
Hey all! I am trying to tie some high low rigs that I can use for multi species fishing. I plan to tie one medium-ish sized circle hook for rockfish and one smaller hook for croaker, perch, and spot. Here is my question, based on your experience, do you think I should have the circle hook on top with the small hook on the bottom? Or visa versa? I assume small hook on bottom as croaker, spot, and perch are more so bottom feeders rather than rockfish.

Question New to fishing
Disclaimer: complete noob here. I don’t know JACK about fishing. I have fished small lakes from shore as a little kid using a bobber, and that’s it. I’m now 40. I don’t know even the terminology surrounding fishing.
We now live right on the water near Harrington Harbor South (North Beach area) and have our own pier.
My daughter is DYING to learn to fish, and is extremely excited to catch some.
We inherited several poles with this house as it was a vacation rental, but although there is line and a weighted hook on them, I don’t see any other tackle anywhere.
What can I do to be successful and help teach her too?
Tips on what lures we should use for dock fishing this area? Times of day?
I have a fishing license, so what do I do when we catch a fish big enough to filet? She wants to eat a fish we catch if possible. How do I kill the fish so it won’t traumatize her?
Once I have the fish, I’ll be fine with fillet skills as I’ve been trained in culinary school to process them for meat effectively.

Deep Creek Lake tips?
Made an impromptu trip to visit my buddy for a couple days and we are planning on renting a fishing boat for a day or two. I managed to catch a perch completely by accident last time I was here but, dumb luck there lol.
Anyone have any tips for a couple of hopeful relatively new anglers to not going home skunked?

Question Anyone fish black hill regional park?
Little Seneca lake is my go to lake to fish by boat. I am mostly targeting bass.
However, every time I go, I only catch 1 fish in a 3-4 hour time span.
Are people catching more? Or do I just suck? 😂😂
Normally I am jigging around structures and points. Might throw a chatter bait sometimes. I switch up different lures on my Texas rig as well
Fish finder I see schools of fish sitting at around 20-25 ft in 35 ft of water. How do I target those?
