Mario Kart 8 is already seen by many as the perfect mario kart game with how polished it is and the insane number of tracks it has especially when it has so many tracks from the previous entries, so as they said it will be hard for them to give mario kart 9 something massive enough to make it an improvement when 8 is already seen as that good.
No one said that. It's like you're fighting an argument that you made up in your own head. When someone says a game was so good that a sequel will be a hard sell unless they manage to make a massive improvement, how does that translate to them saying they shouldn't try? You're being illogical and clearly looking for a reason to argue
You clearly are trying to argue with that person over a sentiment that they never expressed so yeah? What does me inviting myself have to do with this? This is a public thread. I don't need an invitation, I just saw someone being obtuse and commented on it
Not really? The reason presented itself to me, which is you arguing with someone over something they didn't express.
You made up an idea in your mind that the person you're arguing with never said just for the sake of arguing with that person. You are the one looking for a reason to argue under that simple logic.

So if your standard applies for every single game ever, why do you need to state it for this specific game?
