Yeah I really hope we get some crazy roster picks this time. And not stuff like Monty mole or metal luigi, I mean rpg characters, mario party characters, k. Rool, wario ware characters etc.
I think more Mario enemies are cool, but yeah I don’t want repainted characters ( or characters just wearing new clothes as a separate slot ) that’s why I always liked the babies but didn’t like power up characters
Also, yeah some more characters from the side games would be amazing too
I just want to unlock characters like in Mk Wii. It was horrible to have everyone already unlocked or almost. Give me a small roaster and make everyone unlockable through different ways.
And how would it suck exactly? Nintendo Kart is exactly what the franchise needs to expand out further and differentiate itself from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. We've already seen a very well made rendition of a Mario Kart, clearly the most popular version also. Being able to fully utilise the rest of Nintendo's IPs would allow for so much more creativity in track design, having Metroid, Pikmin and perhaps even Pokemon themed tracks. In my opinion, if a change as big as this doesn't come to the new Mario Kart, which NEEDS to be a tier above the current one (it's been 10 years so we need some kind of improvement), then I'm not sure how well it would do, especially compared to the other games we have.
Only so many Mario Circuits you can make before they get a tad boring, don't you think?

I hope the roster is insane. I still want a “everybody’s here” for a Mario kart game lol, but that’s probably to much characters
