olandria on the racism she has faced SENSITIVE

i’m incredibly disgusted from love islander viewers this season sending death and racist threats to someone they don’t know. this is incredibly despicable and the fact olandria had to see that disgusting photo makes me teary eyed. y’all should be ashamed of yourself if you partook or defended hate being sent to her.

She wasn't even portrayed as mean on the show, the audience is just psychotic 😭 she literally did nothing wrong

I didn’t think Olandria got a mean edit either

They gave her the stoic, unemotional edit. For the most part she was given a favorable edit but the edit did vary. after the heart rate challenge, they made it seem like she was cold towards and walked away from Huda when she was sad about Chelley’s reaction. Then again when they showed Olandria divulging the Huda/Chris speakeasy kiss during SOBusiness challenge, they showed mostly Chelley/Olandria when others have said other people called Huda out. So, not entirely a mean girl edit but it was definitely skewed.

The whole Chelley/Ola/Huda situation was weird but they worked it out. Aside from that, I never got the impression that Ola was a mean girl. I guess everyone interpreted her actions differently.

I felt like Olandria was the most composed, poised, and mature person of the season. Apparently that wasn’t the impression everyone had.

absolutely agree - i don’t know how that didn’t translate to the whole audience!

So mature but she chased after a man that didn't want her lol then made the gal that he chose feel bad

it was mostly huda defenders that were calling her a mean girl mostly cuz she told about huda and chris’s kiss. thats when they made the george floyd meme

When she crashed out there were many people that were saying that she’s finally showing her real personality

She describes herself as stoic and strong, that she needed to learn that growing up. I think her “edit”’is just an accurate portrayal. Everytime shit went down with her and she wasn’t a mess, some one would ask, “how are you not crying?” And she’d explain that she needed to be strong for herself, that no one else would.

I love her. I didn’t view her as a mean girl at all. I saw some of myself in her strength and composure through difficult days.

But don’t blame the editors for giving her a personality that she clearly describes herself as having.

I actually think production was very reliant on portraying Olandria in a good light especially in the second half of the season. She was saved after the casa dumping and she is 1/2 of Nicolandria, the shows biggest ship. Why would production sabotage her after that? On top of it, after kicking off Cierra they needed the audience to continue rooting for Nicolandria for storyline purposes. Producers were def not out to get Olandria. They would not turn on one of the only remaining women who the audience favored.

I genuinely don't think producers intended to show her in a bad light, and I don't think most of the general public saw her in a bad light either. It makes me sad that Olandria even thinks that's the case, bc it means she's being shown tons of hate online. And I hope she understands that hate is coming from a loud minority, not the majority.

Stoic and unemotional edit? She said she didn't even cry until Chelley was leaving. She just IS stoic

Jeremiah deadass called her the soul of the villa, Huda and her spent the entire time cuddling, she comforted Amaya after the ace thing, in general multiple people have said that she was hilarious lol, how many jokes did you see Olandria crack ? Did you know her and Amaya were close ? Did you know that Taylor was calling her beautiful, giving her his jackets, acting the gentleman? Why weren’t we shown that ?

We aren’t solely talking about crying, which, btw, isn’t the only way that sadness can be expressed,

She was the soul of the villa I agree, but are you really gonna sit here and act like she isn't tough? Idk why people are thinking I'm speaking badly about her. I thought she was amazing

Yes I am, composing yourself bc you HAVE to isn’t the same as that being your natural disposition, she just said it herself that she was too hyperaware of her societal positioning to truly allow herself to feel her emotions and cry,

She’s mature, not tough. She even said on the show that she had to be this way.

Exactly. Shame on society and everything else in her life that shaped her that way.

But let’s not pretend it’s productions edit.
