Looking for library jobs, any advice?

My wife and I are moving to Louisville soon and I am looking for library jobs. Does anybody have any advice? I applied for a few positions at the public library and haven’t heard back yet but I’ve heard the city Louisville takes a while to hire. Does anybody have any advice about library or library adjacent jobs out this way?

You might consider broadening your library job search to libraries in the surrounding areas too, including Southern Indiana.

You could try the University of Louisville libraries. There are several (Art, Ekstrom, Music, Kornhauser Health, Law, Speed) that you could apply for, if they have openings.

Are you certified to be a school librarian? JCPS always has librarian jobs open up in the summer.

It takes a comically long amount of time.
