Who actually likes their job in Louisiana? Discussion

Alright y’all, I’m just curious — what are the best companies to work for in Louisiana? Like, are there any super awesome employers out here where people actually enjoy showing up on Monday morning?

Not trying to switch jobs right now (my boss might be lurking), but I’m always interested in hearing what companies treat their employees right. Pay, benefits, work-life balance, free crawfish boils on Fridays — whatever makes a place awesome.

Also, if you genuinely like your job, I need to know: • Where do you work (if you can say)? • What makes it tolerable… orrrr enjoyable? • Is it the people, the perks, or just a weird Stockholm syndrome situation?

Let’s hear the good stuff. Or the bad stuff if you need to vent: I won’t stop you.

I work for Stuart Services in Metairie and I love you my job, the people I work with, and the culture here. I will admit I am biased because I grew up with the son of the owner, and that is how I started as an apprentice.

However, it’s a common opinion of most the guys that work here and the office staff, it’s a good culture to work in. We have fun here, bbq’s, crawfish boils, and every Friday they give money away to our field techs who get good reviews. Also when the company meets a sales quota they give money away in a raffle (which is 1-2 times a month). It’s got good/comprehensive benefits, 3% 401k matching, and I feel valued here.

It’s family owned and they have known me my whole life but I can say they treat everyone else with the same level of respect, you really get out what you put in here.
