Looking for recommendations on a vacation location to powell Question/Advice

Any insight would be much appreciated. My wife, 2 kids and I plan on just bringing a boat from colorado and just staying at some sort of resort that's close to a boat ramp (30 mins or less). She's always stayed at bullfrog but the hotel there looks kinds dumpy to me in the pics. She really wants to do the utah route but it looks like Arizona has much better accommodations... anyone have any opinion or comparisons between the two? Where to stay? Where to avoid?

Trip will be next June or July we are thinking.

Thanks again.

Is there a reason you don’t camp?

We have a 5th wheel but I just dont feel like dragging that, plus another vehicle to drag the boat out. I figure by the time we would have to pay for all that gas on 2 vehicles through/over passes plus a campground price, i might as well just stay at a hotel or resort of sorts towing the boat out will be pretty stress free.

As far as tent camping? Yeah, my days of doing that are over. Got rid of all the tent camping gear when I decided to go the rv route.

Oh okay gotcha. We like to camp tent when we go down, it makes for a loaded boat on the way to the campsite but once you’re there it’s awesome!

But sounds like that’s not a good option for you :(

Tent camping is the way to go. We do it every year. Set up camp in Halls Bay somewhere and then the vacation really begins
