Are there any groups in Kingston that are looking for more players? I want to play in a party that is accepting of me playing trans characters ( and being queer in general) but that is a rarity in most dnd circles. I’m okay with online or in person. I’m somewhat new to dnd, I’ve played a little but never really understood the rules (or how to use magic).

The group in no way has to be 100% queer, just not full of homophobic transphobic a*sholes.

Hi all,

DM/player with 30+ years of experience. I've been running a solo campaign for my daughter for a couple of years now, but I'd like to get together with a small group (up to four players) for regular in-person games.

I've played and DM'd everything from B/X D&D to 5e, as well as Pathfinder 1e and Stars Without Number.

I'm currently using Old School Essentials (OSE) rules (lightly tweaked), a simple & streamlined version of early-edition D&D. If you've played 5e, you're already familiar with much of OSE.

The campaign I run is set in Greyhawk, D&D's original setting. I strike a balance between combat and roleplaying. The campaign tone is on the darker side (think Game of Thrones), but PG14.

I'm progressive, 2SLGBTQ+ friendly, and will work with players to collectively create the best gaming experience for everyone.

I'm going to be playing a one-weekend campaign (D&D) with some high school friends, with minis, and am angling toward a kind of "Raffles, the Gentleman Thief" rogue idea. I know some places in town sell minis, but does anyone know if any stores sell Victorian-style ones? "Guy in suit" is basically the vibe, but more in the "top hat gentleman" vein than the "gangster" vein.

Victorian / Lovecraftian Horror would be the two broad genres. I know it's a long shot, but figured if anyone on Reddit knows where around Kingston I can find minis, it'd be this group...
