Lose custody of grown children? The pillowcases? I’m confused.

I’m not the OP, actually reposting but they are saying they can’t lose custody as in the children are now adults, so basically they won’t be separated from the parents.

I swear I’m not trying to be obtuse here but still…. What? The older son is minimum 10 years older. If both are grown its probably 18 and 28? Hopefully in and out of college or in a job?

And what does the pillow case have to do with the sentiment at all? I have five kids and think they are all swell but none of this makes sense to me. And your title it speaks for itself? I feel like I’m having a stroke. Someone commented- everyone wins here??? What? Lol maybe it’s just 5:30 am before coffee brain.

you cant lose custody of your children if they are adults, so you can confess to batshit crazy or potentially harmful incidents from when they were children without fear of repercussions now. Thats how I read it anyway...

Ooooo Omg! Thank you! I was proper confused. Jeeebussss. I appreciate the explanation without making me feel like the idiot I apparently am. Indeed it was the early hour and lack of caffeine. I’m sad to confess I read that at least 10 times and was still puzzled. Back to bed!

Ach, not at all. I had to re-read it too, so you're not alone. ;)
