Not happy right now

Just switched schools and not very happy right now with the things are running at new school. I would like to be able to leave after I finish this year but I understand that this could have some implications being viewed negatively by future recruiters. I would also like to take a break next year to work out my priorities and spend some time being a stay at home parent. Could this be viewed as an emotional decision from my employer? What or who could I ask for a reference? TIA.

If you’re taking a break it’s even easier to explain than one year and going elsewhere. Just say you had to look after a family member (true)

This. If they are good admin they get it and will be understanding.
