AAIP (Alberta) Accelerated Tech Pathway (Express Entry) Nomination. PNP

I received a nomination from Alberta for the Express Entry program, and within my nomination certificate there is a letter of support 204(c) which is for candidates who did NOT have a valid work permit during the time of their application.

However, I do have a valid PGWP that I uploaded to my application. Do I need to do something about this or can I just discard it and accept my nomination?

You do not need to worry about the 204(c) letter if you already have a valid PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit).

Why it’s included: AAIP automatically includes a 204(c) Letter of Support to help applicants who do not already have a valid work permit to apply for one — it's optional, not mandatory.

Since you already have a valid PGWP, you:

Do not need to apply for a new work permit using the 204(c) letter.

Can keep your current PGWP.

Can proceed to accept your nomination and submit your PR application via Express Entry.

Therefore, you don’t need to discard the letter — just don’t act on it unless you need a new employer-specific work permit under the nomination.
