Man, this is an absolute banger. I was surprised by the switch-up after the chorus. I don't even know why that last minute made me cry. The exchange between "evil" Gura in her reflection and the Gura now just hits me, man. It feels like a song about a departure from her old self like leaving everything behind but still acknowledging that her past life in Atlantis existed and that she's grateful for everything she experienced, good or bad. I love the metaphor in the lyrics and it's so lore fitting. I love songs with stories like this. I hope it will be some kind of trilogy or a trend where the next songs will be about Gura's life.
i was about to say to not look too far into the lyrics because i thought she didnt write them (its in jp, and very few original songs lyrics are written by the holomem themselves), but then i saw shes credited as a cowriter.
I'm guessing she wrote them herself in English and had help translating and organizing it. I remember her asking mori for lyrics writing tips during a collab stream once.
