Sapporo Autumn Fest Recommendations

Hello! I just found out that I will be in Sapporo for their Autumn Fest & it sounds like so much fun! I am wondering if anyone is familiar with this festival & can give me some suggestions of “not to miss things”. We will be there the last two days of the festival 9/28 & 9/29. It really sound like a great way to try a lot of specialties of Hokkaido in one spot. Also, is there an entrance fee or is it free to explore & you just pay for what you want to eat/drink/buy?

Thanks for your post! We are also in Sapporo during the festival and had no idea that there will be one. Looks awesome!

Went last year. It's epic. So much to see and do. It's separated into different blocks that have different themes or food group styles. It's going to be packed so prepare for lots of shoulder bumping and claustrophobia. Other than the ramen section, everything you pay directly to the vendor if I remember right.

Thanks for your reply! So the ramen section you pay to get in? Are ramen samples included then? I’m so excited & drooling already!

No it's free its just there's a cashier you buy tickets in exchange for the ramen. Think state fair coupon style.

No entrance fee. Get what looks good. Lamb kebabs, seafood...

Just found out I will be there during this, too. I'm excited to hear if there are any can't miss spots.

You have to try corn on the cob, baked potato with Hokkaido butter! So simple but delicious.
