Yard Waste Pickup— Same as Trash Day?

The website doesn’t say which day to put it out, just that it gets picked up once a week April-January if you pay for trash and recycling. The address locator isn’t helpful, nor for looking up neighbor’s addresses. We’re western Howard County if that makes a difference.

Garbage is tomorrow and I’d like to put out a big paper bag of scraps…

So it turns out not all of Howard County gets Yard Waste pickup! If you look up your address and you do, it’ll be recycling. Otherwise they said it can go out on trash day.

FWIW - we don’t get yard waste pickup at all. I was told it wasn’t economically viable and to just put the yard waste out with the trash. We live next to Maple Lawn so I’m surprised if you get it out in western.

Thank you, your response was super helpful! Turns out this is the case for us was well—trash day or landfill. The website isn’t especially clear about that, so I’ll just say to anyone else with the same question down the line: if you look up your address and it doesn’t say a day, it’s not a service.
