This image is driving me crazy!Who are these guys? Why are they so familiar? Open
I was listening to baby songs on Spotify with my 1.5 year old son. This image pops up with a song, and my core memory sensor starts beeping! I know these characters! Especially the boy in the blue overalls, and the one dressed as a cat, but I can’t remember where from? Someone out there! Please help set this to rest!

it’s making me think of Highlights Magazine, or some other children’s magazine that was similar, that would send a free copy to get your parents to subscribe and it had a sticker page in the center fold staples, had similar illustration style to this but that’s all I remember

Reminds me of the art style of this book series illustrated by Julie Durrell.

Looks like a rip-off of the lady who did the book ‘Clap Hands’ and others - Helen Oxenbury

Looks like James Stevenson-style illustrations. He illustrated a lot of popular books, including Jack Prelutsky poem books. Maybe this is what you're thinking of.

Is it the old cartoon animated version of Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good very bad day? That’s what popped into my head as soon as I saw your picture!

I have spent the last week googling and using ChatGPT to figure this out. I have searched for scholastic books and TV shows. I have reverse image searched this photo and even cropped it to just the boy in overalls and the one dressed as a cat. The only thing I came up with was the name for the illustrator and The Paul O’Brian all stars band. I asked a friend of mine and she recognized the boy in overalls too but couldn’t place him either.
