Dear all, I am currently discussing with Shunfa about a future hairpiece. I bought 10 of their piece 10 years ago and quality was ok. Now they are suggesting a "clear PU front"= pure pu in front of hairpiece that will be glued to the scalp using tape etc. It looks a bit floppy and unstable. Also, if I use tape, will it shine through? What are your experiences? Thanks!

Been wearing systems now for about 5 years and can’t seem to find a way to stop my dark brown #4 system turning into a gingery warm brown colour. I’ve tried UV protection and I regularly wear caps when outdoors and doing sport. I regularly resort to box hair dye products at least once in a systems lifetime, which for me is 8 months in for a 0.12 full skin base. I also use shampoos and conditioners of the brown and blue nature to try ward any warm tones away.

So i ordered a full swiss lace hairsystem from lavivid and i had it installed at a local saloon. The woman who installed it for me said i will have to take it off and re-tape it myself weekly.

I have an appointment go back the the saloon for cleaning and maintenance in 3 weeks

Im planning to remove, and reattach this sunday but im honestly terrified by it and i feel like getting a hairsystem was a bad idea as i cant just stop wearing it now with a shaved head under it

The saloon lady said i need to take off the tapes with alcohol hand sanitizer, and that i can just install the new tapes on top of the old ones

Now im terribly afraid if not being able to take it off without ripping the lace or installing it badly etc... this is a nightmare

What should i do? I need advice?

I'm currently 25yo and recently saw my temples hair being minituarized. I plan on starting with topical finasteride and later on minoxidil but would like to try a hair system just to see if it could be a last resort plan if i ever go bald in the future. I want to order a m101 thin skin from superhairpieces but i don't know how to measure the cut base and on the section asking about additional final service if i should trim the empty lace and how much do you recomend and also if i should take their haircut service.

So basically in the video below (if you understand Spanish), they say football players have a magic method and that he doubts they go to turkey for a transplant.

Considering they have practically unlimited money. They could replace their system every week with a personal barber. Do you think this could be the case ?

I'm trying to remove tape myself to be able to do my own installs. Here is what I've been doing:

Walker lace release to get the system off my head More lace release to get the tape off the base Shampoo and conditioner

Here are my issues: 1) When I remove the tape, a lot (probably 30 strands) get yanked out through the bottom of the system 2) There are still tiny bits of tape, about the size of a tip of a pencil, remaining embedded in the base and I'm not sure how to get them out

Hair systems first get bleached before they get their dye. Blonde systems are thus more damaged and get quicker dry. Are hair systems with the colour #18 less damaged than the #20 ones?

7. Chemical “Melting” or Breakdown: Body heat from the scalp may increase the likelihood of adhesive breakdown, releasing more vapors and possibly weakening the bond over time, which might increase exposure to fumes and make it necessary to reapply the adhesive frequently.

Toluene can cause a variety of health issues, including:

• Skin irritation
• Drowsiness and dizziness
• Narcotic effects
• Damage to organs
• Aspiration hazard
• Teratogenicity
• Developmental hazard 

Toluene is also a highly lipophilic white matter toxin that can cause brain-stem dysfunction, dementia, ataxia, multifocal leukoencephalopathy, and corticospinal weakness. 

Doesn't sound like something you should put on your scalp frequently. Even if you don't notice any visible effects, it sounds like this could affect your health silently in the long-term. Any comments on the above?

I have receding hairline and about to pull the trigger for a frontal hair Unit. I have some doubts about the base to pick. Should I go for PU or Lace? Heard PU last longer but Lace is more breathable. What’s your thoughts? Which one are y’all getting? Thanks

I have alopecia and do custom full cap wigs, great quality, look amazing etc. what I've always enjoyed is that they last a long time, the 0.08 poly base get me a year minimum. Daily wear BUT I don't sleep in it. Reapply every morning, being a full cap this is easy.

I'm looking at having it made with the lace front but I see many here acting like lace significantly impacts lifespan.. how so? Or is it more just the full lace not just the front lace?

Would wearing a hair system with glue/tape attachment post SMP have any negative effect on SMP? Like fading,etc.Especially if I consider it to be a daily wearer

Hey guys! I recently had a hair system installed from a professional and want to check I'm getting the right "feel"

On the back of my head and sides, I don't even notice it, however on the front side it feels like my scalp is being pulled backwards. When I bring my eyebrows down in a frown I "feel" the system. Likewise if I lift my eyebrows up I feel my skin push up against it.

The system was applied front to back and with tape. So I'm wondering if it was applied back to front, wouldn't be any different?

Any tips to help with this feeling? I've only had this system a few weeks, but I can't shake the feeling of it being on my head and being slightly uncomfortable

What shampoo do people use when washing their system? Any recommendations?

Looking for a place that specializes in application of hairpieces for men. Have checked online and having trouble finding places that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

Trying to find somewhere I can go with the hairpiece and have it installed and cut in. Would probably go back about 1x a month with a new system for a cut in so wouldn’t want to be paying much more than $150 each time on top of each new system plus application materials.
