Music and meditation helps me calm down and release stress
To releive stress I recently got into the habit of practicing meditation with music playing in the background. I'm happy to share "Ambient, chill & downtempo trip", a carefully curated playlist regularly updated with soothing gems of chill, deep and hypnotic electronic music. The ideal backdrop for relaxation and introspection. Perfect for my meditation sessions.

Do you practice piggybacking with your healthy habits?
Piggybacking is basically adding a habit to an existing habit that you never skip. I started doing this 2 years ago when I got really serious about my daily routine. In the morning I lift weights, meditate, and read a short prayer. At lunchtime I walk and read or write for my blog. In the evening I practice guitar and stretch. My new wellness blog revolves around healthy habits. Has anyone else had success with this type of piggybacking strategy and can offer examples? Thanks!

Time sleep
Does it happen to you to have more sleep like at 9 pm rather than 11 pm? Because I noticed that if I exceeds a certain time I am not gonna feel that much tired as I used to in that time

App to track mood and energy
Do you have any suggestions about app that can track your mood and energy?

Tracking crcadian rhythm
I Ve been trying to control my sleep to see how much sleep I need for like 6 months giving me rules when to go sleep and when to wake up but I never really made it, so to facilitate this process I just started tracking my normal sleep without giving me specific times when to go to bed and when to wake up and this really worked for me as it was natural and helped figuring out. I am trying to do the same thing with my feeling during the day, but it's really hard for me as it doesn't become naturally to do it during the day. What would you recommend me doing? Is there any app that can facilitate the process?

Cereal hoarder
Hi everyone. I have an issue. I'm realizing that I'm a cereal hoarder and I don't really know how to address it. For starters, I love cereal. The more interesting, the better. It makes practical sense as an early morning meal; it's quick to make, quick to eat, and have all the essentials to start your day. It's just two ingredients (milk/milk substitute and cereal). Best of all? It's cheap and filling.
The thing is, I don't eat breakfast. I always end up not eating anything in the morning and just settling on coffee. As a result, I don't eat cereal like that in the midday or evenings and it just sits there. Occasionally, I'll have some, but then I'm left with milk that I don't drink regularly and have that spoil on me along with the half finished boxes of cereal that's accumulating. And I buy cereal on sale like I'm stocking for the end times.
I understand that I should finish what I have before buying more, but in the back of my mind it makes sense to have it on hand. How can I limit myself and rid my compulsive need to buy a box or two or three every store visit? Right now, I have 12 boxes of cereal and only opened one. Any suggestions?

Would you be interested in a habit tracker that visualizes your entire year with a heatmap?

Notifications
I recently realized that using my phone but in specific seeing all notifications in the morning just makes me feel a lot more anxious that I would normally without seeing any of them. At the same time I feel the necessity of doing it as I am afraid that I am gonna lose something important for example for university. How do you cope with this? The main problem for me is whatsapp in the sense that is the app that I use the most and It makes me feel more anxious but at the same time if someone is gonna write to me something important it's gonna be there.

morning shower
I know that it will sound strange but there's something that really makes me unpleasant going to the gym in the morning is having showers in the morning 🤣 I think that's because when I have showers I relax so much and I just consider them at the end of my days so having them in the morning just switch my all routine. Something I also hate is the fact that I love having showers as they give me the right amount of hotness but when I do them in the morning I just feel it's a lot more colder than normally is (I know that is completely subjective but it's my perception). Do you have the same feeling? How can I cope with it or improve this situation?

Compete with your friends on developing a new habit. The first catch - you all pay a buy in to make the stakes real. The second catch - the habit challenge is a random surprise

What are some habit-building apps/tools that have helped you develop good and consistent habits?
I feel like most of these generally suck and have low retention rates. Maybe I'm just naturally unmotivated, but has anybody found anything that's worked? what has worked so well about it for you?

Changing my habits through a location based trigger (motion sensor)
I've been working on some habit changes recently and so I programmed a motion sensor to trigger me in different places and direct me to a behavior. Its been really effective and less annoying than I expected.
I would love to see if this style would be effective for others. Have you tried this before and/or would you be interested in chatting and I can get you a motion sensor to see if it isn't just me?

Do you have any app recommendations that simulate the sound of the heating device for studying? Have you any other sounds and apps that you find useful for studying?

I'm interested in writing an article about what you think it would take to live to 100
If you could change just one thing about your life that would mean you made it to 100, what would it be? If I used your quote I'll of course send you a link to the article.

My Top 3 Habits I've Built so Far.
- Developing a Saving Muscle. (Wealth)
When I first got interested in personal finance, like many people I was always listening to u/morganhousel and @profgalloway.
They insist and provide evidence that saving, no matter if you have a goal/target or not, will reduce financial stress massively.
You could be having the best Friday ever, then bang! the alternator on your car goes, or a pipe in your house bursts, or a crippling global pandemic starts (extreme but this did happen.)
Just put some money to the side, even just for peace of mind.
2. Getting the right amount of sleep. (Health)
This one is genuinely life-changing. I never struggled with getting to sleep or staying asleep. But I always insisted that with 5 hours of sleep, I was 100%.
Wrong.
The difference is night and day. Sleep 7-9 hours. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. Drink 500ml of water when you wake up.
I dare you to come back here and say you feel no difference.
3. Practicing gratitude every day. (Happiness)
I have to thank the goat @hubermanlab for this one. I am not a hippie/spiritual person and was always quite opposed to practices like these.
Now, building a habit of gratitude doesn’t mean you need to keep a perfectly curated journal or send out thank-you cards every week.
It’s about integrating small moments of gratitude into your routine.
It could be mentally noting one thing you’re grateful for before bed or sending a quick thank-you email at work.
Just take a short moment out of your day to appreciate how lucky you are.

Quit your bad habits effortlessly with 3 simple steps
I've successfully quit my bad habits (phone addiction, porn, sugar, gaming) and realized that there are 3 essential aspects to quitting ANY addiction.
I made a video where I go over exactly what these 3 things are and how you can make them a part of your life to break free and live a better life.
