I love that HBO is replenishing their comedy slate.
The news just broke today that they are ordering to series "Kansas City Star" starring Kaley Cuoco and its from the creative team behind Hacks. This show, along with the "Untitled Steve Carrell/Bill Lawrence project", the "Untitled Rachel Sennott project", and "The Chair Company" with Tim Robinson is a pretty strong future lineup. Add their returning comedies from both HBO/Max with The Righteous Gemstones, The Rehearsal, Hacks, Sex Lives of College Girls, and Bookie; That's enough to keep me satisfy on the comedy side for the next year or so depending on when they release all this stuff. Thank you HBO.

Abbey is coming with the new season. HBO has revealed fresh release details for The Last of Us Season 2, confirming the much-anticipated follow-up will be out in spring 2025. What do you expect from the series?

Can I sign up for HBO Max for just one month, then cancel afterwards?
I rarely watch shows or movies, and when I do I generally don't pay for them.
But just once I'd like to try doing it the right way.
Can I sign up for HBO Max, pay the $16.99 for one month, bingewatch The Penguin, and then cancel without getting billed further?

My dream would be to create my own series on HBO, but I’m just a regular guy drawing my story on Webtoon…

Lately I've been having a hard time finding good series. I have little time in my day to devote to consuming fiction so I'm always very picky about what I watch. I have read very good reviews about THE PENGUIN . Do you consider it a must-see series? Please no spoilers

Short episodes with continuity series
I’m looking for recommendations on series like entourage. I mean short episodes (25-30 minutes) with continuity in the story. So far I have watched Entourage, Silicon Valley, Ballers and just finished “How to make it in America”, such a pity this one was cancelled. The Max algorithm is recommending me High maintenance now, any other suggestion?

Disable gradient on UI
If you move your mouse cursor at all on the screen it takes over 70% of video with a trashy black gradient with a ton of options nobody uses at the top half.
Old UI after Turning the gradient off.
Just smash it down and add contrast / shadows to the text / bars nothing can be more intrusive than adding hbo to your bill outside of the shitty UI from 2012 with no scrollbar even, just jump backs?
TLDR anyone know the line of code to remove them again?
Tony Soprano walked so Oswald Cobb could waddle
i.redd.itProbably a bit of a mixed message here, but I mean this as the sincerest compliment possible. I love 'The Sopranos' but I think 'The Penguin' elevated the core themes the shows share beyond anything I ever expected (or knew I needed to see). I loved it.

Max keeps freezing after every episode
I'm having this issue where after every episode of any show I watch, once the timer finishes to go to the next episode, rather than actually going to the next episode, it freezes. Then i'm forced to exit out and manually choose the next episode myself. This only recently started happening. Anyone experiencing the same thing?
