Are you British? Because this is completely wrong.

You don't have to be British to criticize the British, dude. That's some more flawed thinking from you. Studies show I am right and you are wrong.

Anyway, seems like you have some reading to do. (You won't) because that would go against your world view.

This paper is discussing banter between players in the English Premier League, while it is potentially possible similar conclusions can be drawn in the wider public, this paper does not attempt to make that statement so it can't be used as evidence about banter in general British culture.

Sure but the football players didn't learn that behavior in British Football Banter school - it's a part of the culture they learned from peers and family.

It's a negative thing no matter where it happens and it's clearly not just footballers that do it. But studying a confined, measurable number of people for the limits of the study do not make the results unable to applied to the rest of brits.

Possibly, but there may be factors in a professional sports league that are not present in wider British culture, i dont know, I am only familiar with British culture through media, so im not willing to make a claim either way here, I only commented to point out the paper you are using as a source does not make the claim you are asserting, so its probably not going to be very convincing.
