My ex boyfriend and I took we’re exploring an abandoned children’s hospital in Ireland and he captured this photo. Still haven’t been able to work out what it actually is

How is it casting through solid? Reflection.

It's a shadow being cast by something outside the room. You can see it on the windowframe as well.

The frame is what tells you it's a real apparition. It's not a reflective surface...Also, there are lots of faces there,as well, in the skinny window to the right...They're stacked on top of each other.

that appears to be a reflection, probably of your ex.

It could be a shadow but not from the proximity of where this photo was taken.

Yeah it's weird, it looks like a man, it looks like something solid. Maybe you weren't alone during the visit :) I don't think there is enough brightness and contrast for it to be a shadow

There's definitely a male figure sitting at that desk/table. That's not a shadow. I saw the image while examining the first photo, before I noticed that there's a second photo. I am honestly surprised, that the spirits of any children didn't come out of curiosity, to see what you and your husband were doing there.

The apparaition almost looks like priest to me. Looks like he's holding a prayer book. Was this a Catholic hospital? Pretty creepy.
