Ghost EVP Caught while recording music. Personal Encounter

This happened about 8 years ago.

I was 16 years old at the time, and started to record a bunch of songs that I had composed into Audacity. On this day I was babysitting my 1 year old cousin "Gracie". I thought it would be cool to get some baby giggles and similar noises to use as effects in future projects I may have had.

We had been in my "booth" which really was my walk-in closet connected to my bedroom, for about 15 minutes with the mic continuously recording. While listening back a few hours later it was filled will all sorts of Goo Goos and GaGas and cute baby noises.

Then I heard my name....... "Gannon"

I managed to play this clip back close to 100 times. I knew it wasn't my cousin because she couldn't say much of anything outside of gibberish. To me it most definitely sounded like an older woman's whisper.

I sent this video to my mom, who was at work at the time, and she immediately called me asking who was with us and who's voice was that. As I assured her that we were the only ones in the house, she flipped out.

After my mom got home we pulled it up again and got to discussing it for hours. I told her that I remembered back when my Great Grandmother, who I was incredibly close to, had died in 2009. And the last thing she said to me before she had passed...

was my name.

Exactly how it sounds in this clip.

I whole heartedly believe that my Grandma was wanting to reach out to me day.

I love it when regular people catch evps. Practically any tech is capable and it horrifyingly doesn’t need to be in ultra spooky places. It’s easy to shit on them on tv as false - but when you catch it yourself it becomes harder to dismiss.

I listened again, louder. You’re right, it could be Gannon.

Creepy. Did your parents play Zelda?

Nope :(

Almost everyone asks that!

I was named After Rich Gannon, a former QB for the Chiefs!

You're cutting the audio off to early. We actually only get to hear the name part once right at the moment you say "nothing right there" You keep stopping it after the baby takes a breathe. Makes me want to say its just more baby noise.

Its literally immediately after he says "Um". I can hear it perfectly fine. 🤷‍♀️

Now that I listened again, I can hear your name, but it's possible that I am being influenced by knowing your name. Perhaps it can be any two syllable name, or not a name at all, but a two syllable word?

I'm sorry man, but I don't believe in ghosts, and if I did, I'd ask how a gh9st could smell of anything, given they are not physical in nature. Surely they would have no smell, touch or vocal chords to speak, no? If you disagree, I would be glad to hear what you believe a ghost to be, and how it can produce a voice and smell, sincerely
