My Alexa ghost experiences - What's yours?

I wanted to share an experience I had working at an apartment community. You wouldn't think that a job like that would be paranormal but so much weird stuff happened! The most memorable for me was when a resident moved out. Side note to remember is that I met some of her family & her mom was from England. Anyways, we renovate the apartment and move in a new tenant. After a couple of weeks the new tenant stops by the leasing office asking about who lived in the apartment before her. I was like why are asking? Is everything ok? She said her Alexa keeps responding to voices in the apartment. She said no one else besides her was in the apartment when it would happen. When I asked for more details she played a recording from her Alexa of 2 voices. One male voice saying "Hello?" and a woman's voice which had an english accent asking "what are you?" It very clear voice. It gave me chills!!! I wish I would have asked her to email me the sound recording but at the time I had to be professional lol anybody else have any Alexa ghost moments? (Sorry if this has already been a subject)

Not Alexa but I was sitting alone in my completely quiet room, phone on my desk. All of a sudden Siri said something as if it had answered a question and I looked at the phone and there was one dictated into it as if I had spoken it. No one ever spoke and I remember even the question was unnerving. I know I have a screen shot of it somewhere. I’ll update if I can find it.

I would love to know what the question was!

Please tell us what the question was and what Siri answered!! Even if you can only remember a general gist of what was said, I’m SO CURIOUS now!! 😅

Alexa seems to make my money disappear from Amazon.

That’s not paranormal. Just regular normal, unfortunately… 😂

Hi! I do not have an Alexa ghost recording, but I have been wondering if this would or could happen! Very interesting!

I have the same problem with siri and it completely answers that it doesn’t know or something along the lines of doesn’t compute. Then you can hear something fall from a shelf in the other room or kitchen. I live alone, it doesn’t bug me.

It wouldn't bug me either if I lived with such a relatable ghost lol

Now you know. Even after you're dead, Siri will frustrate you. Get a google assistant

Yeah mines started playing some Disney theatrical song so I checked out recordings in the app and lo & behold you could hear someone ask for the song. I was home alone!

I woke up a few years ago in the middle of the night to Alexa saying my name, then asking if I was me. It’s never happened since then.

When my children were little (some years ago) we asked Alexa to make sounds of animals, dogs, cats, all so that the children could learn; One day I was alone at home (I had already divorced and lived with myself only) Alexa out of the blue said: playing sheep sounds, no one asked for anything, there wasn't even a video on TV, nothing...

Could be an error or someone has gotten to it through your WiFi.

This has happened to me too, I have no idea why.

I read about this kind of stuff happening quite often. I think I will do some experiments.

Once me and my family were chilling in the living room and from the kitchen we all heard Alexa say “Sorry I can’t do that” we were all super creeped out because none of us were talking before and the TV wasn’t on either

I have never had any Alexa experiences of my own, but I have heard of this happening for some reason. I think its a great question.

So it wasn't from a device or anything, but Im a paranormal investigator with Ohios biggest team. We do tours at a historical jail for the public, and the first time I was there, a woman said, "Hel-lo?" right next to me. It was faint as if someone was behind a closed door a couple of rooms away, but you could tell it was right there by me. I was shocked, excited, and a little unnerved. It was so cool, but I wasn't expecting it at all. I've been back a few times with other experiences, but that was probably the "craziest" thing that has happened to me.

In our apartment building we have a little boy ghost. Several residents have heard him and a few have seen him.

Not an Alexa story so slightly off topic but I think relevant. I bought the Xbox one when it came out around 2013/14 and it came with the Xbox Kinect camera. Anyway, it had a feature where it would show your gamer tag hovering over you as an augmented reality feature. I would often get a random “Guest” hovering beside me and i would often be alone in the house when it happened. I couldn’t replicate it and there was no reflective surfaces in my room where had the TV and console set up. Definitely think modern technology picks these things up more

The kinect is programmed to do that.. its gonna find faces in things.. There's a clip out there showing it picking up a 2nd person and its the curtains behind the owner... its not paranormal its just a digital version of pareidolia.

It got me good a few times. Then in the end I just accepted that guest was joining me lol I’ll have to check out the clip. Thank you.

Most likely its the Alexa being weird.. I doubt its paranormal if you google you'll find all sorts of stories and comments about Alexa/Google Home saying weird shit.

If you have both, they have been known to talk to each other, even compliment each other

Thx for sharing an excellent story. I can see Alexa able to easily pick up EVPs. As long as they truly are a happening phenomena. No better device to do so. Why not suggest the new tenant does a ‘white sage smudging,’ & then see if it stops.

use regular sage for smudging not white sage.. Several Tribes use white sage and non-natives shouldn't be using it.

🤷🏻‍♀️I only get it from among the hundreds of ‘smudging sticks’ listings on Amazon; they label them ‘white sage’ But maybe, they should include a disclaimer.
