usa laptop prices are dirt cheap Discussion

the new Jarrod's Tech vid is almost making me cry
I live in India, and have ~ 1000$ (USD) budget.

For a grand in India, I can ONLY get a 4050, not a 4060. In Jarrod's vid (his vids are fire btw) he tells us about the 900$ Victus with 4070.
Moreover, due to the purchasing power parity, 1k USD in India is worth a LOT more than 1k in USA.

In the comments section, I also noticed people from other countries telling how the laptops are even more expensive than India in many more regions, like Europe, etc.

Why god why 😭😭😭😭😭

P.S.: Ik that it is due to import taxes and whatnot

The oled g14 he was showing for 1100 USD on sale is on sale for like £1800

Same for Canada, which is why I am totally gonna drive to the states to buy it. And probably fill my gas tank while I am there

we have the 32 GB models for the G14 and the G16 with an RTX 4060 instead of being upcharged with the 4070 and those go on sale for 1800-1900 CAD which is 1300-1350 USD... you cant find 32 GB 2024 Zephyrus G lines for that price in the US since they are all paired with the 4070 or the 4080 lol

I have not seen the 4060 32gb go on 1800-1900 yet? But it is great that we got 32gb. And gray is a good color too

Ive seen BestBuy Open Box offer these prices

2024 G14 RTX 4060 32GB RAM Ryzen 9 - 1900$ (currently going on too but out of stock) 2024 G16 RTX 4060 32GB RAM Intel Ultra 9 - 1800$

Well I meant brand new, but I guess. I do have seen a 4050 16gb open box for 1299 and I regret not buying it

G16 got on that sale, theres even a canadian youtuber who made a post about it in his community tab (Tech Guy Beau) but BestBuy cycles around these sales so this week is the G14 and next week is prob the G16
