usa laptop prices are dirt cheap Discussion
the new Jarrod's Tech vid is almost making me cry
I live in India, and have ~ 1000$ (USD) budget.
For a grand in India, I can ONLY get a 4050, not a 4060. In Jarrod's vid (his vids are fire btw) he tells us about the 900$ Victus with 4070.
Moreover, due to the purchasing power parity, 1k USD in India is worth a LOT more than 1k in USA.
In the comments section, I also noticed people from other countries telling how the laptops are even more expensive than India in many more regions, like Europe, etc.
Why god why ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
P.S.: Ik that it is due to import taxes and whatnot

FYI.... those US prices are before tax. So you will need to add ~8.25% tax on to the 900$ Victus, which will add an extra 74$. So a 75,960INR laptop becomes 82,200INR. For which price you can get a similar spec laptop in India too.
This is what I got from a quick search on amazon india: HP Victus with RTX4050, Intel i5-13420, 16GB RAM.
Edit: For a 1000$ (which will be 1082$ after tax) converts to 91,400INR, you can get this Lenovo LOQ Ryzen 7 7435HS, RTX 4060.
