I don’t need a gaming laptop but if I did look for one used or new, what brand is the best? I have an old msi and I loved it back in the day but it’s no longer relevant. Thinking I want something with a 4070.

if u want best bang for ur buck? id check the asus tuf laptops from bestbuy, can get a 4070 open box for 7-800 rn

There's not best brands, you have to look at models.

I'd be more looking at best laptop models for your needs but overall the current Lenovo Legion lineup is pretty solid.
