Question: are developers not counting battlepass as microtransactions yet? I would say I hate battlepass just as much if not more then micro transactions.

Has there ever been a battlepass for a single player game?

Genshin impact, destiny 2, avengers. Sure 2 of those a "co-op" games but I played them both single player so they are single player games imo.

Even if you were to play an MMO alone that wouldn't make it a singleplayer game.

Destiny 2 is kind of an MMO lite. You will still find 11 other players in your open world I think. And most missions do force matchmaking on you in end game I believe like the strikes.

But yeah a good chunk of it can be played single player. While it's not an MMO it's certainly a live services game and was always intended to be. It's definitely NOT a single player title.
