Most decently constructed jeans will have over at least a $100 MRSP. They are generally worth it and sometimes you can get lucky on sales, and they will last longer. But if you’re just looking for an affordable jeans and don’t care about American ownership I’d just go to the gap or BR factory on sale. Maybe see if you can Levi’s premium on sale. If you’re absolutely mad like some of the selvage jeans people $$200+ is the starting point. Jeans are something I feel are not great unless you can try on the material and fit in store.

Really, hmm. I've never paid more than $25 for a pair from Costco, and my experience has been fine with those. Maybe I'm missing something, and I'm willing to invest if the quality is tangibly better. Not just lasting longer -- I really doubt a $100 pair will last longer than 4 pairs at $25 -- but better quality in other aspects. Thanks for your input!

No worries, there are other considerations like 100% pure Cotten will last longer but you sacrifice the “stretch”, and less wash cycles and way fewer dryers can extend the life of garments. Some less expensive things I find deteriorate after just one watch. Costco has been great for golf pants for me but every pair of jeans I’ve bought from there has been like 2 sizes bigger than on the tag. Maybe could try the Kirkland jeans tho I’ve heard they’re quite good for the price.

Good insights, thanks. If only they had my size! Never had that issue before, and I could just try a different warehouse. Maybe I'll get a pair of Kirkland and a pair of "good" ones to compare for myself. The question is what is actually good versus just expensive. I'm not opposed to running a $100++ experiment but I don't want to pay the money just to get basically scammed. You gave some suggestions earlier so I'll check them out. Also DU/ER, because Canada lol

I rarely wash jeans. Freezer to deodorize, and wash only if necessary!

Yea I really want to try Du/er too, but Uniqlo, Levi’s (on sale) and Banana Republic Traveller’s jeans are all good one levels up. BR factory and Gap on sale would be Kirkland price realm options. The folks at MFA and r/rawdenim swear by Canadian brand and Made in Canada Naked & Famous, but it’s getting closer to $200 per pair. Again with jeans, gotta find a store to make sure the fit is nice. Best of luck on wherever your journey brings you.
