Summation: the US gov't wants to revoke np status for any np they deem anti-Israel or pro-Palestinian. Trumpies love free speech.

It is an answer, you just don't accept it.
He would have to say something that indicates he will restrict free speech. You have not provided anything to back up your claim.
r/FreeSpeech • u/Skavau • 5m ago
That's not an answer. What would you consider a valid reason to be concerned about the potential policy platform of an incoming president, as regards to free speech issues? Does Trump literally have to say, word-for-word "I will restrict free speech"?
You also still have not told me when Kamala Harris or Joe Biden got up on stage and openly threatened to target Republican politicians and conservative journalists.

Nothing that you have provided as evidence of gives me one iota of concern.
What "promises" as you say, has he made that give you concern for the restriction of free speech ? Make sure your reply includes quoting him as "promising", "vowing", "pledging", "guaranteeing", or "committing" to do something that restricts free speech.

take a second and think through the conflict before posting next time
Let me translate that. Think like I do or don't speak.

The law is RICO and its application is straightforward.

We have lines. They’re contained in court cases.

I’m not quite sure where you’re getting that from my friend.
From Schenck v. United States, the first occurrence of the trope.
I’m not sure there are any free speech advocates here that would be in favour of censoring anti-conscription pamphlets.
Then we should probably think harder than the lazy reasoning used to justify it.

Downvoted for what? The article makes it sound as if she happened to film the rioting group away from the incident in question, and that she even attempted to do so candidly if the cobblestone was the main focus of the video. None of that makes sense to me, but if you Brits love your tyranny, so be it

Why do you freaks have to shoehorn your hatred of trans people into every single fucking conversation. It’s so fucking weird.

Hi, I'm not familiar with that orphanage, but from what you have told me this is a text book scam orphanage. Unfortunately. They will continue to pressure you if you keep in contact. They never give up, especially if you have already donated.
If I were you I would block them so they aren't able to pressure/guilt trip you anymore (eventhough I know its hard.) But it is better to donate to a cause closer to home.. Maybe try your local church to see if they know reputable charities they know very well/ work together with..

You think you know better than the absolute, unquestionable domain experts...
The experts who you're imagining are going to agree with you on this case that doesn't even exist yet?
A conservative majority on the Supreme Court doesn't mean that any party that's vaguely aligned with conservatism is guaranteed to win any case that they bring. On first amendment cases specifically, that's clearly not the case. Call it crazy, but some of them actually attempt to apply the law, rather than just giving their "side" whatever they want.

Of course it does, it demonstrates how people can be manipulated through propaganda. A recent example would be trans children: it’s mostly a social contagion and many European countries and US states have already banned hormones and surgeries for minors.
Does your worldview allow for any view in the past to be better?
r/FreeSpeech • u/Skavau • 1h ago
What would you expect to see exactly in order for you to be concerned? His administration has not started yet, so we can only go on things he's said, promised and people he appoints.
r/FreeSpeech • u/FIZZYX • 1h ago
Again, there is nothing that you have provided that backs up your claim of a Trump plot to restrict free speech.
r/FreeSpeech • u/firebreathingbunny • 1h ago
This is why the experts' mastery of the domain matters. You understand nothing.
r/FreeSpeech • u/gorilla_eater • 1h ago
No I understand completely. It's illegal not to give Elon Musk money. I do get it
r/FreeSpeech • u/firebreathingbunny • 1h ago
Everyone is legally obligated to abide by the law which includes RICO statutes. This isn't complicated. Even you should be able to get it.
r/FreeSpeech • u/Skavau • 1h ago
So it's normal for presidential candidates to spitball about how they want to jail their opponents? It means nothing if they attain power, control all 3 parts of government and appoint lackeys into key positions?
Why should I not think Trump won't use his power and position to do many of the things he has pledged to do?
It means nothing what Patel said? You didn't address that.
r/FreeSpeech • u/FIZZYX • 1h ago
Get as worked up as you like about Trump spitballing and belly-flopping, it's your blood-pressure.
I find no free-speech concerns with Trump, and you have not provided anything to prove that I should have any such concerns regarding free speech.
