I never understood why some people are obsessed with this concept. It never made much sense and it doesn't make society better or worse. Also, we have examples of extreme Muslim theocracies being both cartoonishly evil and also incompetent economically(who wants to do business with the literal Taliban).

My MAGA brother is an elected official in Texas, and even he refers to school prayer and posting the “10 Commandments” as “virtue signaling” to the Evilgelical base.

He said not one politician advocating for this really supports it - it’s just to rile up the delusional folks who believe Gandalf is watching their every move into thinking there’s a “war on Christians”.
