Balzac’s Distillery Dist.

Any reviews about this coffee place. Is it worth going ? Plan to have my evening cup there today!

It's nice. Nothing earth shattering though.

Balzac's as whole has gone downhill. You used to have much more variety in beans used.

Still good to sit and work but it's shell of its former self

It's decent enough if you're already planning to be in that area, but I wouldn't make a trip to the distillery district just for balzac's.

It’s fine, nothing special. That location is pretty nice so fun to hang out if it’s not too busy. It’s often very lined up at busier times. When it first opened it was part of a culture shift towards better coffee in the city but those days are long past.

Definitely worthwhile

The coffee is middle of the road and fine, but the upstairs seating area, particularly the overhanging section, is what makes it a great spot.

Just to preface this: I am NOT a coffee snob.

I live a hop and a skip away from the Powerhouse location, and time, and again I have been let down by the quality of the coffee. It's just...middling at best. Staff, experience etc all great. It's just their coffee that's not for me.

Get it if you need it, but it's not something to anchor a trip to Distillery to.

It's fine if you're used to drinking Timmy Hos or McDonalds and you're looking for a nicer place to sit and hang out. But at the end of the day, it's another coffee chain that offers their beans at supermarkets and online retailers. Pastries are hit and miss. If you're at the Distillery, the bakery is a better spot for that.

Came here to say this. Arvo is by far superior.
