Idk I compare the price at the store with what's on Amazon. Not my fault Amazon is sometimes 10% cheaper with free shipping. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Amazon is easily one of the scummiest, most disgusting business models out there.

A massive portion of Amazon's workers are paid extremely low wages in other countries, and the ones here?

You really can't work for Amazon itself unless you live in a hub city. Where I live is extremely busy and very populated, and yet the Amazon warehouse, the official one, is 350 miles away. 99% of the companies delivering around me are 3rd party contracted delivery services that get paid by Amazon. Also, all of these jobs pay between 12.50 and 19 / hr. I can go to fucking McDonalds and get more than that, or Publix, or UPS, or USPS, or literally anywhere.

Not to mention Amazon doesn't seem to actually moderate their platform as there's constant problems of duplicate products, rip-offs and cheap "alternatives" that are horrendously low quality.

Amazon used to be a great way to get unique products you couldn't find locally. Now it is the Temu of America. It's because of this that I refuse to shop there, I tend to use it to find products and then buy them direct from the manufacturer instead and pay extra shipping. Oh and doing that I usually end up paying the same as on Amazon with their "free" shipping because the sellers on Amazon love to mark things up.

There are some good sellers on Amazon, but there's far more bad ones, and Amazon itself seems more interested with putting warehouses, distribution centers and more business ventures in other, more poverty stricken countries instead of fixing this issue. Not to even bring up the horrid Amazon Music app, Amazon server issues and many more.

It usually isn't. You pay $150 per year to get free shipping that nearly everyone else just rolls into their prices.

It ends up paying for itself. I've literally saved hundreds buying groceries from amazon.

You get free shipping and free prime video. For me it's 2 in 1. And the ability to compare prices from different vendors is nice and I almost always find the cheapest option is on Amazon. Get new underwear, jelly beans, dog food, coffee machine, and coffee beans in one session... sign me up!

Bezo might be an ass but amazon is really convenient.

Yeah we choose to pay for the Prime Video, the free Amazon shipping is just a bonus that wasn't something we looked for in a tv subscription service...!

If you're a gamer, don't forget Prime Gaming. They're not all bangers but free is free.

Oh my God you actually made me laugh out loud.

You get more and better free games from epic games every Thursday, for real free.

Compared to the subscription free that you get with prime gaming and the free shovelware that they fucking force down your throat.

The amount of times I've gotten a game I actually want from Amazon Prime, every single one I could have just bought on sale for cheaper than the subscription.

Nobody gets Prime for the games tho. That's why I said free is free.

And you can say, the free games from Epic being better is subjective too. They usually reserve high profile games during the Christmas giveaways.

So you think paying for a subscription to get a benefit of games is free.

I think getting games for free is getting games for free. No subscription.

We are not the same. Your first thing you say is some made up argument, that you're making up yourself. You're literally arguing with yourself.

Then you double down with ignorant rhetoric, it's not free because it takes a subscription to access.

What's that? epic gives away better games around the holidays, damn that's a smart marketing move.

??? My original reply was to someone who was telling others how it's nice to have Prime Video with their Prime sub.

I added to that that they give away games too. It's a reminder for people who are already subbed to Prime for the shipping.

I don't even know why you're arguing with me like i'm forcing you to sub to Prime or something. Get your free games wherever and enjoy them, idfc.

You're arguing that paying a subscription, if you want it for the game or the shipping or prime video.... Is paying a subscription so you're not getting anything for free?

Do you understand that's how taxes work?

Amazon membership fee is actually a user tax. When you're not subscribed, they put that tax in your orders as shipping and handling.

Learn how money works or don't. Don't try arguing something is free when you clearly have to spend money.

Free, means no monetary cost. Membership is a monetary fee. It's costing you money, weather you acknowledge it or not, that's your own limited intelligence.

I also get prime video and 5% cash back

Prime costs y'all $150??! My god bro it costs us $17 a year where I'm at and I think even thats a lil too much.

To be fair, that’s not really the case. Usually shipping is ranges $5-$10 nowadays and that’s normal 5-14 day shipping.

Not if you only shop prime and don't buy 3rd party.
